I haven't shot pool or even entered a pool hall in over 15 years (being a spectator at the WPC2007 doesn't count -- i was too far away from the table). Is there a place for me here in this great forum?

Sure. There is a place for everyone. But you cannot be considered a highly respected member worthy of thoughtful consideration by all readers of theses threads unless you have been the target of a mindless insult by Watchez.

I have several in my collection and regard them as badges of honor.

If you have not as yet received one, don't dispair. Just keep attempting to post useful information...build up a lot of rep points (which seem to bug the crap out of Watchez) and before long he will emerge from the gloom with some sort of adolecent swipe at you and THEN you will know that you have made the grade here!

Sure you can be a member here without actually playing, but why have you not played in 15 years?

You also can't be considered a member unless av84fun has argued with you at length over the most trivial of subjects.

I see you joined the forum in 2004? Why are you just now asking this question? Seems you've been here a while and doing fine, according to the number of posts you've made.

I'm kinda curious about the purpose of this thread??? Are you having a nervous breakdown? Depression? Or, just checking to see if we're paying attention? :confused:
 
if you have a passion for the game you are welcome here definitely.

although it does beg the question why somebody who loves the game hasn't played it in fifteen years!!
 
There are a lot of people here who returned to the game after lay offs of many years and are now treasured contributers. Glad to have you here!!!

Definitely! Sounds to me like you might be described as a pool fan, something which the game could use a few million more of. :)

Sounds like a girl in my poolroom, playing a couple young boys, I overhear her telling them how she doesn't play much and is not very good. This after I have seen her there doing drills the last 4 days in a row, and shooting them well. :)
 
I think it just means it is your turn to rack...:D

Well if you had sat 1 row closer I would say yes, you belong here...but since you sat 1 row further back than was required then I am forced to say No...

Actually you may be the only poster able to say..."I have never missed a ball in 15 years".......Then describe your aiming system. You will have a cult following within a week......Guaranteed;)
 
Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I guess that's one of the reasons I keep coming back to this forum. Everyone's (well, almost everyone) so nice and accommodating. You've all brought tears to my eyes.
