WOW! as i've said before, there's always a story behind every cue
and this one is no exception
doc contacted me, gosh, maybe a year and a half ago about a cue
the plan was to take a purpleheart dufferin and add butterflies onto the butt
as luck, my luck i should say, would have it, that cue warped like a dogs hind leg

so, i told doc i'd make him something else better for the aggravation of waiting for something that never came about
i don't know what doc will think,
but i'm glad that damn dufferin went into the scrap pile
i like this cue a whole lot more, IMHO

veneers are padauk, maple & cocobolo on first set of flys, the shorter set
veneers are cocobolo, maple & padauk on the second set of flys, the longer set
all white is ivorine4 with mahogany linen & black rings
3/8 x 10 stainless pin
phenolic inserts in shafts
linen based melamine ferrules with pressed lepro tips
butt: 14 7/8ths oz
shaft 1: 4.0 oz cut from the original dufferin cue
shaft 2: 4.13 oz
didn't get a chance to test drive it tonite, hope to do that tomorrow

Nice cue! I would be eyeing it a little closer when Doc comes to play pool at Buffalo's but I see he even has his name on the cue. So much for the secondary market.

I especially like the two shafts sizes. Doc, come visit and let me hit a few balls with it.

Nice

Thanks BHQ,

I apologize for not responding sooner, but I have been real busy with work and have have little time to test the cue. The cue not only looks great, it plays wonderfully. From viewing your other cues, I knew it would look great in person, but I had no idea how well your shaft would play. I have owned only three playing cues in my lifetime and have been "sold" on that style and make of shaft. Your shaft took little time for me to adjust to and plays great. It truly plays SOLID. This is a treasured investment that I will enjoy for years to come.

I highly recommend your cues to anyone interested. (Trust me, you will not be disappointed.)

thanks doc

Unfortunately, you could tie JoeyA's hands behind his back and blindfold him and he still has to give me weight.

Joey, I plan to make it over soon.
