Does Anyone Else Focus on the Break Like I do?

Hey now, that's my paunch :D Well I dont claim to be a fitness guru either and I dont link to other peoples videos and say they are my own like this jackass.

Who gives a damn about your paunch? You made the 10 ball on the break! That's like fitting into those 30 inch Levi's again my my book.

The break is KING! -- But i gotta say that ever since I got my Predator BK2, when playing 9 ball, Im dropping 2 to 4 balls on every rack and I always have a look. 8 ball is a different story, more finess.

This thread is hilarious. I agree with an above poster that maybe we should unban him if only for entertainment.

I'm not sure if any of you have heard of me as I'm mostly huge in the Midwest, but my name is John Von Auerbach. I currently have a 38 mph break.

Just wondering if anyone else out there focuses on the break as much as I do.

For the past 6 months I've been trying to increase the speed of my break through three different strategies:

1. Muscle Structure
2. Stroke Technique
3. Mind over matter

To increase my muscle structure I used a combination of diet, cardiovascular exercise, and developed my quick twitch muscle fiber using isometric weight lifting exercises. I stuck to a regimen of high protein meals including but not limited to: Eggs, Chicken, and Tuna. For supplementation I usually went with Yohimbe Bark extract or Shark Cartilage. I usually went everyother day on that, so to not overload.

Specifically for the explosion needed for a fast break, I trained my anterior deltoids daily, and my pectorals 3 times per week.

To increase my stamina which would allow me to make my 38 mph break throughout a tourney, I ran 3-5 miles 4 to 5 times per week at a pace of 7 minutes per mile.

Before my 6 months of training began, my break was timed at 29 mph. After only 6 months of focused training on my break speed, my break went up an incredible 9 mph.

If anyone is interested in my training techniques, I think I have a proven system that will get your break up in speed within 8-12 weeks.

I recently had a break in which the cue ball cracked into 3 pieces. No joke. It was literally an explosion of power that even I did not foresee.

Does anyone else break as hard as me? Problably not, but just wondering.

Why in the world would I want to break a cue ball?

His thirty-eight mile an hour break ain't nuthin

His thirty-eight mile an hour break ain't nuthin'. I have perfect stroke and have made the eight on the break a dozen times in a row playing eight ball and the nine an equal number of times playing nine ball. The secret is a low center of gravity and immense concentration, also just a touch of boredom.

Um, I did mention that I did all this on the practice table at poolcomp.com didn't I? That undo shot button is a wonderful thing! :D :D :D

I really did find out a few interesting things pertaining to the break. I will try it on a nine footer to see if it works as well as on a twenty inch screen.
