does leather 1st ed Winning 1P book exist?

I guess Eddie forgot when he was in a jam and needed two grand who helped him out. What else is new?

Jay; Didn't understand. When I first read the above I thought you insinuating an unknown loan or charity (did others think the same?). Now I do understand! We did business and you wound up with a large quantity of books for resale purposes (at yours? or somebody's tourn?). I believe it was around $1,800 total and you got the books for around $18-$19 each (didn't bother trip to storage to dig up old records so these estimations). We made the deal to help each other out; guess it's a matter of opinion as to helped who the most.

Seems I did send you my earlier draft of one-pocket rules (it was when I returned those two photos of yourself). You had wanted to put together rules for a tournament and wanted what work I'd accomplished on the subject (guess you helped me out again there). That must be what someone else on this forum had referred to when mentioning you might have a hand-written copy of my book. I asked for you to send me what you wound up using for rules for it might have been of some use to me but it's just a little too late for that now.

Don't understand why you mention these things on these threads but I then feel the need to reply for I certainly don't want more misunderstandings.

Jay; I didn't understand what you said about 2 grand and helping when i was in a jam and then the "what else is new". When I first read your note as above above, I thought you were insinuating a charity or an unknown loan that I'd failed to repay (didn't you realize others might think that?!). My opinion is you helped yourself out pretty good!

Seems I did send you my earlier draft of one-pocket rules as you requested (it was when I returned those two photos of yourself for the 'story' of you for my W1P). You had wanted to put together rules for a tournament and wanted what work I'd accomplished on the subject (guess you helped me out again there). That must be what someone else on this forum had referred to when mentioning you might have a hand-written copy of my book. Don't understand why you mention these things on this thread or any thread for that matter. I then feel that I must reply for I certainly don't need any more misleading notes about me. You heard the one about rocks thrown in a glass house? It was not a loan and it was not charity, and you got waaaay the best of the deal. Eddie Robin

In my first post on this thread I called your books MASTERPIECES! If I'm wrong about that, I apologize.

By the way, there is no misunderstanding Eddie. You called me and asked me to help you out by buying several cases of your books at $20 each. Some were leather bound and others were not. My only lament on here is that I didn't have the foresight to hang onto some of these books. What part of that don't you understand? It was a compliment to you!

This is a forum Eddie. When a topic comes up, we often discuss several things about that topic, and more often than not the thread gets side tracked in one direction or another. This is not necessarily a bad thing, especially if they are talking about your books. Kapeche

Wondering what is the current value of W1P and SMS in the "bonded leather" editions? I was offered 2k, but as I have not seen them come up for sale in a very long time, it seems like they would go for a bit more as a pair.

If you mean the numbered sets with true autographs and the goldish leatherette covers, I sold a set for $1800 a month or so ago. The market is very thin.
