Does This Mean Asian's Get No Help?

No, this has nothing to do with those National Olympic Committee programs. This is the management of the Asian Games deciding to put in other sports for their once every four years competitions.

Does this also mean that Asian players will stop getting funded by their governments? That would mean that most of their players wouldn't come to U.S tournaments. Johnnyt

Johnny, not all Federations get funded by their Governments or their "higher-up chain in command Association/Federation", therefore, some lower-tier Federations can only "assist" their players in entering sanctioned World Tournaments; sometimes with only a fraction of the total travel costs for the particular player.

Thank you for the info. Johnnyt

This looks like temporary omission only for this coming Asian Games
Asian Games billiard medal is quite a big deal for Philippines and Taiwan. Actually maybe if they removed it permanently from future Asian Games it may force the country federation to put their resources and emphasis into other international tourneys which may be a good thing as the federations may subsidise or pay for more Asian players overseas to play:grin:
