Wow Fred. Thanks for the read. I had never seen that before. 
Tim does not make black boar cues,he makes his own cues and Mike Cochran works with him and has for years,Mike's cues are getting to be more and more distinctive and different, more of the Black Boar tradition of intricate inlays.
it would be no insult to either cuemaker to associate their names ,but Tim and Tony are both independent cuemakers,with their own shops,styles,methods and both are great at what they do.

The rest of the story, the back story so to speak, stems from the man, Bill McDaniel.
Really cool pic from the old days and story to go along with it.
It's interesting to hear about the roles that Bill McDaniel played in other start-up cuemakers....and other hall of fame calber makers for that matter. Think there's a lot of untapped potential regarding cue history there. Sorry for the somewhat random thought....just something I've suspected for a pretty good while.

ALL cues come from Eddie Wheat, its an industry secret.
Woooow. That was certainly a meeting of Titans. Imagine how much one of those original 10 cues is worth. What a website. It is one of the best and most inclusive cuemaker websites I have ever seen.
