Now that's nice.

Razor strop hanging off of the chair, a straight razor shave and a game of banks or one pocket.

What could be better?

Judging by the pictures...I'm wondering if the cuts are still $1.25

I have a a barber shop tenant with a table who'll play a game of nine ball for a free haircut. I never lost. Oh yeah.....I'm bald. Mitch

I have a picture of me with my pool cue case in front of a place called Major Lynns Barber Shop and pool hall I took when my son was in the Air Force in Valdosta Georgia , I wonder if it is still there.
My wife and I went and got the pic at about 8 am on a Sunday morning because I wasn't sure how I would be received .

I could hear people talking inside but no pool balls clicking, even at that hour ,so it was probably a card room also.
She has always said I should have gone in, and my reply is , no one was stopping you !

no... But i know that the barber has about the most beautiful table i've ever seen.

Frank Almanza doesn’t have a bar box table...he’s got a bar ber table...

I have read that pool tables in barber shops was very common back in the days of Greenleaf and Mosconi.

Or Hoppe:

William Frederick Hoppe was born on October 11 1887 in Cornwall Landing at the Hudson river, not far from New York. Father Frank was a barber. Mother Frances kept a lunchroom alongside the barbershop. The lunchroom held a pool table. Little Willie would ...

So, Frank the Barber was Willie Hoppe's father. He doesn't look that old.:D
