I will offer the facts of this that I know to be true. I don't know Chris. I do know Don, and have for over 25 years and we did much business together. I don't know the true aspects of the original deal, but this I do know. Don does not use a cell phone or have access to the internet while he is away from home, he uses a tracfone, which I use myself alot, I can't get the internet through this phone, but it beats being locked into a contract at a ridiculous price for a couple years. I have done thousands of Dollars worth of deals with Don for all of these years and I have also help set up thousands of dollars of deals to get done for him as a friend. I have never knew of Don to intentionally to wrong someone, without offering to reach an agreement and trying to solve things, ask yourself truly...would he intentionally do this ? knowing this is how he makes a living ? I know personally of a couple deals where he bought a Southwest at a high price, and sold it to a friend that wanted one, and Don only made a $ 100.00 on a $3500.00 deal, Don is that kind of a person to help someone out, whether anyone believes me or not, I know of this first hand. He did stop here after the Phila show and spent a lot of money on Cues, shafts, etc...knowing some of the things he bought he was not going to get his return on for a little bit longer of a time, I won't say what it is, because it was a very special favor someone did for me years ago, before he passed, and I passed some of those items to Don when he was here. Don and I were to get together at Tunica and at the last moment, I had to cancel because of my health. So what I'm trying to say, the whole time this was getting nasty on here with what happened, like I said earlier, I don't know of the transaction, Don had no way to respond fairly and offer his true side of the story. But I do think this, give Don a chance to make things right and I think we should let these 2 guys to try to bring a solution to the problem....and I think everything will be sorted out by the 2 parties..............Thanks...This is my opinion of a person I have personally know for well over 25 years...if Don doesn't get this matter fixed....I will be very surprised....Rumors spread very quick, I say we give these 2 guys a couple days to sort things out, and see if they can agree on a solution.........whats been done is done and can't be changed, but there can be a peaceful resolution to this situation, if given a chance.......

Oh yeah there's no way he intentionally did it. He represented the cue as being refinished by Barry because he was told it was. Barry was at the show where the deal was made, Barry was shown the cue (although maybe not asked about the refinish) in a poorly lit spot, and if you know how it is for Barry at a show, probably surrounded my 15 guys all speaking at once.
Would Don really have shown the cue to Barry if he was hiding the refinish? A mistake was made here, pure and simple. Gosh some of you guys post like you never made one. There's a guy in this thread that has been preaching about this cue deal and hasn't let the fact that he has zero I-Trader at all stop him from spewing his expertise about cue deals.
Chris himself said he knew enough about Don to know that while he was at the show he wouldn't have internet access and wouldn't be able to respond until the show ended. Chris knew that, he posted that, although that fact didn't stop a bunch of posters from stringing Don up for what? Not responding while he was at the show.
An honest mistake was made. I can totally see how the refinish deal can happen, I mean please, Barry looked at the cue. Don didn't have the money to make it right (another fact Chris understood but many posters ignored) so he tried a compromise solution and another mistake was made.
Chris was frustrated by the fact that he got a raw deal and now would have to wait until after the show to work it out. He posted that. In the meantime, while Don was at the show, Don got lynched by a bunch of people who wouldn't know him if they met on the street. The show ended, Don contacted Chris and they will work it out.
Again, Don has been selling cues for years and in the 18 pages of posts, not one guy WHO KNEW HIM or did business with him had one negative thing to say. Everybody that knows him that posted said he was a stand-up guy. Not one basher has ever met Don, and the most vocal has zero cue deals. Please, buy or sell a cue before you go telling everyone what you know about cue deals.

When guys rush to judgment with a limited set of facts, and fill in the blanks with their own negative assumptions, they are drawing from their own minds and really they are talking about themselves.
And much of the talk is so judgmental and really, angry. It makes me kind of sad for them. That must be an unhappy head to live with.

As I said before, Don and I talked last night for quite some time. "WE" are moving towards a resolution. We have established a framework for a deal.
DON IS STILL AT TUNICA!!!!!
When he gets home early next week, we will start to finalize our deal. As I have said before, I am hopeful of a positive outcome for both of us.
This thread is an unfortunate evil that I felt I needed to start. I knew tempers would flare. I also hoped Don would have addressed this issue before he left. That is all in the past. I need to focus on the future and hope all ends well. I am a lot more positive today than I was a few days ago.
I truly appreciate all of the comments - positive & negative.
