Well for those who want Cheap chalk think maybe Pool room would take pity on you, and gift you cube.

Silver Cup, and Triangle are cheaper then Master. Both sell so people buy.

Best chalk, I do not know but not springing for 20 bucks a cube.🤮

Ironic reading the thread that Coco is the only one that calls Master chalk by its correct name

Well it made by Tweetens in Chicago, and they make a cheaper chalk also that works.

My Taom has lasted over a year so far and it's only halfway used. $20 a year isn't what I would call "life changing money".

Unless you have a habit of leaving it lay somewhere. That's how I acquired a "cube" of Predator chalk. Wasnt impressed enough to go buy some.

I used to use green Triangle for both English pool and snooker. Picked up a piece of Taom 2.0 green for my English pool cue recently enough. Clean, adheres well, comfortable in the hand and fits snugly in my aluminium case.

What I didn't like was how it adhered to the laminated tip on my break cue, but then again, that could have been the case of the tip being too smooth and not scuffed enough. I will say that as a first time green Master chalk user, I really like it. It's pastier than green Triangle and works well on my break cue.

Blue Triangle is messy as hell. My friend brought a cube of it into college and used it on his snooker cue. Cue ball looked like a Smurf by the end of it.

The right chalk, combined with a nice $500 CF shaft, and $40 tip will certainly turn you into a road player.
You don't even need a stroke or table knowledge with that equipment.
Some pool players are like Golfers and will buy into the latest hype thinking they will play better.
And golfers are the biggest suckers out there for "This will shave 2 strokes off your game"
Now that's not to say that Golf equipment hasn't improved over the last couple decades.

Reminds me of the gas shortages of the '70's when a lot of gas saving gimmicks were sold
I bought every one out there and saved so much gas that every 300 miles I had to empty my tank a little so it wouldn't over flow.

I used Master chalk for years and thought paying $20+ for a cube of chalk was insane.....until I tried Taom. I'll never buy anything else. I've been using the cube I have for over 2 months and can't detect any noticeable wear. I'll get at least 6 months, if not a year, out of it. Haven't had to wipe down the cue ball in the middle of practice since switching and the difference in the cleanliness of my table is worth $25 every 6-12 months. YMMV. To each their own.
