Dreaming about Pool

In my sleep, I never dream about playing pool.

You would think that as much as I have been around pool I would have had a dream or a nightmare about pool by this time.

Just wonderings if any of you have had any dreams about playing pool? (Not day-time dreams- I've had those :-) )

or dream about a shot i am working on
 
One pocket and three-cushion billiards would wake me at four AM....
...I would dream about a layout.
If there was a 24 hour room in the area Iwould go and try it out....
...then come back to bed,

I was hard to live with
 
I don't recall ever dreaming about playing pool. Golf a few times.
I did dream, the other night, that I ate a five pound marshmallow. I woke up and my pillow was gone. :eek:
 
I can honestly say that I don't think that I've ever dreamed about playing pool either. Daydream about it constantly, but I've never dreamt about it that I can remember

I would put myself to sleep thinking about the break or making my way through a layout. I've never dreamt about it and now that I think about it I find it incredibly odd.

When I worked at a pool hall I slept every other day. On the days I did sleep I would wake up to be at the pool hall when it opened at 11am. I'd play till 4pm when I had to clock in, work till 11pm and play till 230am. I would then go home and sketch out layouts and think trace my runout over and over. I'd also read a wide variety of books, or watch TCOM for the umpteenth time until I could get back to the tables when the doors opened.

You would think that would be enough to dream about it once or twice, but I don't think I ever have.
 
I'm the same way.
I spend most waking moments thinking, and day dreaming, of pool, but almost never dream of pool.
I assume that once my brain relaxes, it prefers to spend some time thinking of something else.
 
My wife has told me, that I have asked her, if she wants to play some one pocket, when we were in bed.
I didn't remember it though when I woke up.
 
I sometimes have bizzare dreams about being in in a pool room with very strange tables. Sometimes with bumpers like bumper pool and slopped sides, far stranger than the table below.

Sometimes I dream up pool tables that look more like minigolf than pool.Dunno.

Also a dream recurring frequently is going to a casino not for a pool tournament, but to play money games. Casinos host high level poker for a percentage, why shouldn't you be able to go to a casino to play high stakes pool right next to the craps table? In too many places too many pool halls will bounce you for openly playing a money game which is a shame because pool halls are closing all over and scraping by on low margins. A casino could actually afford to operate and referee serious money games at a level you wouldn't risk running privately.

Amazing. I read this thread by Joey A and sat at my keyboard for quite a while trying to remember if I ever did dream about pool and can't even to now recall one single dream about pool.

The amazing thing is that I've been around pool for most of my life and can't remember one single dream. I can recall dreams about so many things but not this. Why is that?

Sleep dream: no

Day dream: all the time
 
I've dreamed of doing things on a pool table, (not evolving pool) that's as close as I got
 
My California Nightmare

I keep dreaming that someone is going to outlaw ivory cues and wake up wondering what the hell I'm going to do with the two I bought on spec, one still un-chalked and one played lightly and both just a little to nice for me to use as a player...

I've had dreams about the people I've met but other than that I'm like the rest of you regarding the game itself- daydreams plenty, sweet dreams never.

I've dreamed about fishing MANY times. Often that dream involves the cork going under the water.

It's another of my hobbies but as much as I've been around pool, I've never had one single dream about pool. I agree, why is that? I guess a session with my psychiatrist is in order. He'll probably ask me if it bothers me. Lol
