The "processing" I asked for was to cut 60 of them in half and keep the other part which would cut the shipping cost and package size down substantially.

Edit for Clarity the "screw you" is directed at Patrick not at Doc who said "If I walked into your shop and offered you less than half the advertised price for your shop rate, you would dismiss that entirely" Which is such bullshit it got my blood pressure up a bit. That is not what I offered. And yes he was flakey about the shaft deal whether I got my money back eventually or not. His reason for not shipping them was that he couldn't find a box suitable to send them in. As if. I have always believed he offered them for sale, sold them to me for what he was asking and then got a better offer and screwed me. Who can't figure out how to box shaft squares to ship?

Lmfao I got 7 rounds of Birdseye from a very well known maker who loves his cats and rape measure suspenders....

They were duct taped together two wraps on each an end and my name and address written in ink on the dowels.

The frugality nearly killed me with laughter🤣

Take note of what? That you'll have sour grapes & cry if they ignore your attempts at haggling with them when they already made clear the terms of their sale? Not cool, man. If that's not what you mean then you may want to reconfigure your wording, because it certainly looks that way.

Lol I’ve been called much worse for not responding to much less. Hell few years ago on Facebook a guy asked I believe it was either Brent Hartman or Brent summers.....Cang remember which....interested buyer asked public ally how much to build him a cue with “x” design....wasn’t anything fancy or intense....stated what he wanted and how much.


Well Brent responded with something to the effect of “well I been doing nothing big custom orders for many years I decided while back I’m not taking custom orders and just making cues that I want to make for sale.

He apologized for the inconvenience and gave him 2 or 3 contacts who could easily build his cue to his satisfaction.

He was very polite.

Omfg the interested potential buyer went fubar and cursed him right down to the ground, very nice choice of words.


I ended up telling the guy that him having any arbitrary amount of money doesn’t qualify him to receive his demands forthright......it’s the makers decision who’s money he takes and who sells it to, when he sells it and what kind of product he wants to make

I know with all the cheese and wine that occurred when I sold some brz rosewood I fronted the cash as a group buy in on basically.....was my first and last time dealing with that.

22 pieces I kept the 4 worst ones to use segmented.....but just missing an email while offshore from one of very many interested parties, and max of 2 per person to spread it among the flock....some even went out of their way 5 years later and took a personal jab at me over it I guess not thinking I’d read it because I lurk mainly since oh like 2011....luckily It has all the truth of the matter in the actual original lead up and sales thread so I shipped the link and called him out for his self serving made up story.

I try and steer clear of the whole hurt feewings and finger point crap as a way to shine on myself. So many hurt feewings in this place constantly

Take note: JC is a schitzy fruitcake, avoid dealing with him at all costs!!!!

Or alternately: It's good practice to acknowledge reasonable offers.

Interpret it as you like.

I guess if I wanted them bad enough I could have just said "I'll take them" and sent the payment.

Although that didn't work either with this guy. It wouldn't surprise me if there's something jinky about this "deal" too.

as an observer.....and seeing you brought this to all our attention, therefore you are allowed to hear our opinions....First, If you felt screwed over from your first interaction, which you got your money back which means you didn't get screwed, why try to wheel and deal with him again? That was your own choice.....
Secondly, somebody not replying to a pm over a offer to buy, is NOT worthy of the crap that has ensued in this thread...We are Adults, it's one thing if you lost money, didn't get the item shipped...etc...but really? almost a page and a half because you didn't get a reply? If you didn't plaster it, no one would know or care. Most still don't. It comes across that you made your post simply to cause crap, otherwise you could have PM'ed him about your displeasure. People can sell and not sell to anyone they want to on here, and reply or not reply to a pm offer whether it was for more or less than what was advertised....Adult on and go about life.

JC, step back a minute & remove the emotional bias. Look at this thread objectively. You're taking everything offensively. Nobody is attacking you. You missed on a great deal because rather than jump on it, you attempted getting an even better deal. Now you're upset because the seller ignored your offer. Nobody to blame but yourself. The more you try discrediting the seller, the worse it makes you look, not him. He did nothing wrong.
