Dumb question about AZ.....

sorry for the dumb question,

When I took some time off AZ a few months back the feature to add friends was added. I think its great and I have had alot of people ask me to be their friend, it really gives mt a warm fuzzy feeling, I know that sounds corny but its true.

Then I realized I never asked anyone to be my friend, I just didnt think of it, I then asked one person to be my friend, I was attempting to mend up a broken friendship, it says its pending. So maybe he will be my friend again.

Now my question: I have 45 friends(thanks everyone!!!) Do I have to ask them to be my friend so I will appear on their screen as a friend???? If I do I'm very embarassed I have 45 people I owe a appology too. Or If I accepted their request then it appears as friends on both peoples pages????

So was accepting enough, or do I have to request from them.

I feel terrible if I have to ask them too, I wasnt here and didnt know how the system works. I should have requested friendship from alot of people and didnt :embarrassed2::embarrassed2:

sorry if I let anyone down, I like to like everyone here-even ppl who dont like me. I want the internet to ba a happy place for me.

I had one request a few weeks ago, which I responded to, now I have a request from the same person again! I thought I already took care of this.
Eric, will you be my friend:o

Eric,

Don't feel too bad, i've been here and I don't know how it works. The format changed and I had friend requests and I don't know what i'm supposed to do either. Maybe I missed the explanation when most of the members found out about the friend lists.

I accept friend requests from people that I know and talk with. I have one friend request from someone now that I haven't responded to only because I don't know who they are. I'm not out to amass the highest number of "friends" like this is MySpace. Sorry, guy.

Just so no one takes offense if I don't respond to friend requests or ask... maybe I'm just a old fart or something, but the whole idea of becoming someone's "friend" at the click of a mouse just doesn't do anything for me. I'm the same way on Facebook. I use it mostly for family.

I guess I'm not into the virtual friend thing or the rep point thing. I like the idea of shooting someone a quick reply to liking someone's post, but the point thing, I don't get.

So there ya go..... I think there's alot of great people here, and many I would like to meet, but until I do, I can't really call them a friend. Who knows, maybe if I met them, they wouldn't want to be my friend anyways....:D

CaliRed - Crotchety old anti-social fart?

Sorry?? for what? I dont even have a myspace or facebook pages, never will. Those social network type sites are ok for kids or people with alot of free time. I have no desire to "network" just for the sake of networking, I do network for business purposes. I have never been that social but hey if people like those sites and bythe success of them laot of people do, I say have at it and have fun. I aint knocking anyones fun.

hope your good,

best regards

eric

Eric, I dont' think the "sorry guy" was meant for you. It appears to be meant for whoever had asked her to be a friend but she hadn't responded because she didn't know him. Seemed to me it wasn't about you.

I wasn't saying sorry to you, Eric. I was saying sorry to the guy who sent me a friend request on here that I didn't accept. It's because I don't know him and have no memory of having ever talked to him, online or off.

Thanks for clearing that up.
I thougt you were talking about someone named Guy.:embarrassed2::D
Leave it to someone in your condition to confuse us guys.
I hope all is going well.

I think the friend thing is wierd.
Maybe I'm old school, but Internet friend doesn't work for me.
I would need to have least done a deal or met them in person.
I just hoping this friend thing doesn't become a game like the rep thing did.:frown:

Eric,

No such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people asking questions !!!

J/K, I couldn't resist. I think the friend thing on this site is debatable. I don't want to turn this site into myspace for sure. Have a good one buddy!!
