Dynaspheres Factory and Manufacturing

I was surprised that the initial casting is into a cylinder shape that is then machined down to a sphere. After the machining, you have the eye, the stripe, and the caps but without any details like numbers.

With the extensive automation, it looks like the factory could be anywhere and is not dependent on cheap labor.
 
With the amount of time required to make the balls and the amount of expensive automation it sure seems a ball set should cost a lot more than they do. That kinda raises another question, how many sets of pool balls are sold every year? Considering the amount of tables out there and how long they can last it seems like a niche market.

I've read that world-wide there's something like 500mill+ that play pool. China of course has the most with around 2mill playing more than twice/week and around 250mill. that play at least some. Now add in Taiwan, Philippines, rest of the world. My point is there's a huge market for balls. There aren't just a ton of outfits making good phenolic balls. I can see why Dyna's factory runs 24/7.

I think I have three sets and have bought three of my kids sets also.
I have parked my Centenials and Arimith pros.
I absolutely love these sets. I clean them, maybe twice a year.
 
i have a few sets of the bronze ones. 100 bucks. how can you go wrong. my centennials sit in the dark closet now all alone and sad.

i even leave a set in my car year round.

Your right! There's 290ish million people in Indonesia and Pool is growing like crazy there, and the country's in Africa continues to grow their Pool leagues the market and the game could really continue to grow.

The Pool ball side might be somewhat of a niche market, but the expertise they have with resins means they could be providing products to other markets and/or investors with deep pockets.
 
I bought a set of the tungsten. Really great quality. Even the box they come in makes them seem expensive. After getting them though I didn’t like the colors like I thought I would so I either use my cyclops skittle balls are my centenials. Those and the elephant beautiful balls just collect dust

I was thinking about getting these though.. I think they are about $100. I’ve wanted the predator arcos balls but have been too cheap to pull the trigger 🤣. maybe these will scratch that itch.

I have bought three sets- one I gave to my older for his home table and they play great. I have 2 reserve sets for my upcoming home table install next year upon my move. I think my first set was about $110 and the other two maybe $140 or so- a lot less than the $400 or so for those other two big brands- I honestly feel that these balls are every bit as good as anything out there in every way- perhaps better in terms of retaining a higher gloss on the ball surface.

I like how in the other video you can click when the original is finished, he takes full responsibility for CYCLOP being garbage.
Anyone remember those balls spontaneously taking left turns and such? 😂
And he learned from the owner of the Hyatt ball company, the company that made the original Centennials, the technology to make these.
 
Bought dozens of the Bronze sets, it's a shame they quit producing them. I'd buy a whole bunch more if I could go back to when they were available.
The Vanadium set is the one I would like to go with now, but my supplier hasn't stocked them yet.

The description on those makes me think they're not the same quality. I'd spend a little more and go Vanadium.
Predator Arcos are Aramith Super Pro resin. You can get those from Aramith for a bit less than Predator wants for them. :LOL:
