e-bay mystery cue

maybe a joey baliboti custom cue ??

it better make me play better if I pay enough for it and it's not a baliboti and worth 69 kajillion euros

IMO it's a......

Ginacue or Viking?

The ivory type ring at the base of the points and chain ring on the tale end make me think Ginacue. But the uneven points with the flower says Viking to me. Or wait, I see it more clearly now, could it be a Burton Spain?

I will let you be the judge, but IMO G. Balabushka, the craftsman that he was would never made a cue that was this much out of balance (all the items I have ever seen had cemetery in them). The block with the dice should be square at each corner, not a cut out slot with a router ends..

i dunno that cue looks aweful cheesy looking. maybe a dufferin?? or brunswick cue .

I think it's great that AZ has this new group of experts posting lately. Time for the old guys to step down and defer to Eric, etc.

I too thought Gina based on joint, bushka ring, and butt sleeve, but then just like the poster above, see uneven points and say no. In the auction, the seller notes the brands of the other cues that have come out of the collection, and they did not strike me as being high-end. So this would be an unusually valuable cue in comparison to the other cues the guy had collected over the years. So I'm thinking it is more in line with Adams and Viking. Just my .02.

Its a Scruggs or a Phillippi.. the inlay over the point (not the dice) screams Phillippi, I think we had a Scruggs with similar inlays and the rings in the butt remind me of a Scruggs.

IT WOULD HAVE A TITLIST BLANK TO BE A GINA FROM THAT TIME FRAME.

doesnt anyone think the cue might be two high and two low points?
i cant see someone that can do ok inlay work like this but cant get his points even.

on the other hand ive seen some palmers that were really bad points and inlays. sry tate:D :D :D

Kinda interesting cue, but....

Man, I love that Avatar.......... :D :D
When he had that last cue on ebay, I contacted him about it and he told me that he had another cue that he wished for me to take a look at. He sent me an email containing the same photos that are listed on ebay. I spoke with Mike Cochran about the cue. He said it wasnt one of theirs. Ones that have been ruled out:
Scruggs, Tasc, Bushka, Szam and Black. I am thinking it could be Adams maybe an old Joss. Not sure. I am not going to bid on this cue because the potential isnt there anymore. Dont know contact for Gina, but I dont think that it is one of his. I have never seen a Gina that was so uneven or unbalanced in appearance. Hope this helps and good luck to you if you bid.
David
