Sound advice above.... Don't spend over 100 if looking for just a reader....
Below is a link to the Kindle Fire that already has well over 400 reviews to scan over.... At $199, this is by far your best bang for your buck.... They're calling it "Ipad killer" or "poor man's Ipad"

Actually, watching world class pool has helped my game more than anything.... You have a huge amount of matches to choose from free of charge through either youtube or ustream....
I put a playlist together of my 100 fav matches on youtube.... Just haven't figured out a way to post the link on here to share it with all the fellow azer's.....
There will also be an ap put out on the fire for netflix and pandora which I'm a junky for both.....
I'll be totally honest...
The Kindle Fire is FAR from an "iPad Killer". But... it is a close second. It very well could be the "______ killer" (insert pretty much any other tablet manufacturer in there).
I have an iPad and have played around a LOT with a Kindle Fire because I work in publishing and do a good amount of work on ebooks. A quick search on Amazon will bring up a NUMBER of pool and billiard related ebooks. Everything from Jay Helfert's book to Pool and Billiards for Dummies (published by the company I work for... shameless plug). Kindle Fire is pretty cool, especially if you're an Amazon Prime member. That'll give you access to thousands of movies, tv shows, magazines, etc..
But (and this is a BIG but) it does have some BIG flaws. If you're using it as JUST an eReader, you're better off with a regular Kindle. The prices nowadays are as low as $79. You won't get the color screen but... you won't really need it if its sole purpose is for reading books.
The color screen on the fire is good for viewing movies and tv shows. But when it comes to things like magazines, you'll have a hard time reading them. The magazine pages often appear super tiny due to the layout most magazines have.
If you intend to use it for email purposes, its 50/50. If you have access to a wireless network throughout most of the day, its perfect. You can connect directly to your email server and respond to emails all day. You can even surf the web. If you're not around a wireless network, you're out of luck. No email. And since it has no camera, forget the idea of video conferencing.
The 8GB memory is pretty good because, as a reader, you can store A LOT in 8GB or less. But if you store movies and tv shows (as well as music), you'll watch that memory get eaten up pretty fast.
All in all, its a GREAT product, depending on what you plan to use it for. Best advice... if JUST looking for a reader, get an standard Kindle. MUCH cheaper.
But if you're REALLY into the color tablet thing and all the bells and whistles that come with it, either invest in the iPad or do what I recommend with almost every big tech product upon launch: WAIT! We live in a time where improvements and 2.0s are in the works BEFORE the first incarnation of a product even hits the shelves!!! Give it time and you'll likely see a LOT of improvements to Kindle Fire. Still, a great product. Just limited. (That being said, the iPad has its limits too.)
