There is a difference between tournament and gambling. In a tournament setting you are trying portray the sport in a positive image for the fans. It sounds like you condone earls antics. I must say if i play him in a tournament match again i will put an end to it before it starts. As far gambling goes if Earl had done the same thing in a gambling match with me i would have blasted him from the start and he would of been shitting himself the rest of the match. The same goes for you. There is also difference between playing earl and a guy who plays bad like Harry.
Well said Glen, As you progress in this sport you either learn to tune the bs out or get your lunch ate. The best players can have a car drive into the building during their shot and never hear it. Their concentration is that focused... I play a very famous player one pocket on a regular basis. The more i beat him the more he talks and whines. Even for ten bucks a game...lol It great sharking practice for me...I've gambled for years, for as much as $16,000 on a single game of 14-1 and let me tell you something, if you're so dumb as to let your opponent control YOUR game through sharking...then you just paid for lessons to learn how to keep your mouth shut, and stay focused on YOUR turn at the table...there ARE no rules in this sport that gives you as a PLAYER to have TOTAL control over your opponent while you're at the table, or the spectators for that matter. When you get better as a player...you learn to FADE the other player, or at least fight fire with fire....SHOOT THE BALLS IN BETTER, STAY FOCUSED and you'll win more often....I guarantee it!!!! I use to play Harry Plattis all the time and let me tell you something, if you wanted the CHEESE...you learned to fade the HAWK!!!!!!!
Glen
Who's playing in a tournament right now???????? This is between Earl and Shane....YOU have nothing to do with it, YOU have no vested interest, YOU have NO say in how they're playing or NOT playing. Shane has it right, when he's at the table, he's in CONTROL of his game and he knows it. Beating Earl straight up is one thing, but beating Earl after he's done EVERYTHING to try and pull Shane out of his game...is PRICELESS!!!!!!!
Is it a race to 75?

Id love to watch earl sack up and play shane in a no b.s. ruled or gaffed table long match...wont ever happen cause he knows he couldn't hang.
If the pearl was as good as he once was, he shouldn't need to change how pot gets placed, or where the other guy can break from.....the dude is a clown and will get straight up owned if he were to just play a real set with shane.
Sack up earl, please show us how you stack up with no bs involved.
Im guessing their next set will be last pocket....

Where are all the other world beaters? Where are all the other true gentlemen? Why don't they step up and play Shane, for the $$$?
Earl has his issues, and for that there is no doubt. But at least he tries to set up a match with Shane ,for the cash. And apparently his demands aren't too far out of line, since Shane keeps accepting them.
Oh yeah, that, and because no one else seems to be willing to step up and play him. At least Earl has game.
