Earl has NOT earned the right to act any way he wants to. In any other major sport, Earl would be fined and banned for his unsportsmanlike conduct. It's high time that the referees and tournament organizers in pool raise the bar and show zero tolerance for this kind of misconduct.
This is a gambling match. The only person who has any sort of power (or just cause) to determine tolerance is Shane.
You notice that Jay Helfert has pointed out that in the tourney's that he administers, Earl doesn't get away with this stuff.
If Shane tolerates it, its his business. If Justin tolerates the abuse of the equipment, that's his business. (I somehow doubt that will be an issue again, though I'm just guessing here.) This is a private match, streamed for all to see. It is not a tournament, where the rules have to apply to many individuals. There are only two people in this match that have to accept anything, Shane and Earl. It's their party.
I am not condoning poor behavior. I think most of us like Earl on "slight tilt", not on "overdrive tilt". Of course, that's probably not an easy switch to flip, for Earl.
