there is not a player alive today with the balls to play that kind of fast and loose style in a big money match

even Efren never played that kind of offense and never had their top gear
 
Thank you soooooo much for posting this classic match. Did everyone see when somebodys cue fell over and made a loud crack. And also caused Stricklands cue and a few cases lined up to fall over as well. He seemed to take it in stride. I wonder how Earl would have reacted today? He probably would have had the poor guy shot,stabbed and drowned.....in no particuliar order.....LOL!

Your very welcome . I'm glad you enjoyed it and I figured the timing was right with all the other McCready threads right now . I have seen a few video's featuring Mr. McCready and have nothing but respect for the man and his ability . Jam if your reading this your tops in my books also . Much respect to you ! Keith is a luck man to have you by his side !

But thats not fast and loose. I only watched a few shots of that clip, but it looks like the smae way Efren generally plays. Not saying he's slow and deliberate like a few of the guys who seem to take forever to shoot a ball, but not near like Keith played. When Keith was in gear, he looked at his next position as he walked around the table to get to the cueball, and was ready to shoot when he got there. That's fast and loose. Kinda like Earl when he's in a high gear. They don't stand at the table looking where they need to get, unless they get caught in a really bad position.
 
Not to be an a$$hole, and no offense, but it doesn't matter how great you shot or even if strung together 7 racks if you lose match.

Shooting that good and still losing means the WINNER was playing just that much better than however great the loser played.

Why must people make such comments....Earl and Keith were both great players, but to say Efren never had their top speed just because he didnt play fast, is just wrong. Knowbody was running to the pool room to bet their life in a race 21 playing Efren. Even with his so called weak break

I think saying anythng bad about Efren is wrong period...Im sure he's got his faults like every other human, but the guy handles himself better than most
 
great video's

Those are great video's with maybe the best audio I have heard in those old ones. I do have to comment on the speed of play part though, I just watched Luc Salvos(SP?) playing in the World Cup. I think he slows down to play speed pool!

Keith and Earl were playing a looser game than most for certain though. I think it is actually easier to get in rhythm playing like that and sometimes pick up the pace when I am playing poorly.

you need to watch the rest of the match & see how Efren totally dominates the guy. It wouldn't matter who he was playing, they would have lost.
