Earl v. Shane Day 2

I like Earl, it's seems he is struggling with negative thoughts. I hope he can get over this period and return to where he can play without being his own worst enemy.

Shane vs Efren in a long race playing 10ball would be a great match. Efren would win it, IMO. Efren's got more stamina than almost anyone, which is amazing considering his age. The longer he plays, the more in stroke he gets. That's why he always plays so well at the DCC. It takes him a while to warm up, but once he's warm, nobody can win.

I like the way you think, even tho you do have all that red.

I'll respond to your post and PM here. I disagree completely with your point (better stated in your PM) that updating the community who did not buy the feed is wrong. Your reasoning that people like me and others giving updates to the forums is preventing people from buying the feed because they get the updates for free is absurd.

I feel the complete opposite. The more exposure these feeds get, the more subscribers they will eventually have. this includes pre match predictions, live match updates to the forums, and post match threads about the outcome, etc. If we don't talk about these games, and instead try to keep it 'hush hush', then they will come and go, and no one will even know about them. We have to keep talking about them to make them exciting and so people will buy the feeds the next go around, and help it grow.

Thank you for the updates. My computer is old and freezes up when I watch streaming video. I'm waiting for the DVDs.

Efren and Django are better than Earl BUT I would like to see SVB match up with someone closer to him in age like Lee VAn Corteza, Dennis Orcullo, Alex Pagulayan or even Roberto Gomez. I bet it will be more exciting for everybody.

Finally some words with some sense in it...

I'd say Orcullo should be the next challenger, Corteza second, Alcano maybe third, Gomez fourth, Alex fifth...

Yang I'm not counting in, as I don't see him travelling to the States for that. Matches with those Pinoys wouldn't be too difficult to organize, as they are travelling to USA few times per year anyway...

Part of the criteria would be their visas. If they've been here before as a pool playing professional it's no problem, however if they haven't, and especially if they haven't won a tourney with a significant monetary prize, it can be difficult. Our government considers young Filipinos a threat to just go AWOL and stay in the USA as an illegal, hence the hard to get visa...Tom

...but I don't have anything against SVB vs. Efren, I'm just not sure if Efren's break & stamina will match with Shane's when race-to-100.

Only Gomez, and most likely not even him after WPC runner-up finish, is on your cathegory.

IMHO Orcullo is the only player that has a real chance vs. Shane at 10-ball.. Paguylayan has run many 10-ball racks in ring-games...but in a race to 100...I don't think that he has much of a chance against Shane.

Did you ever watch the World 10 Ball match between Cliff Joyner and Shane? Cliff doesn't get the credit he deserves. Everyone knows Shane wins, but, I only seen Cliff miss one ball in the whole match. Here it is if you missed it.
