My favorite player to have watched on a barbox was definitely Dave Matlock. Talk about robbing people...
He sounded like it was not going to be a problem but of course I told him I needed a 100% commitment and so he said he was going to double check the dates. I have someone in mind for the PPV but need to make sure I got the deal together before I lock that down.Come on Shane, call back and say yes.. Johnnyt
Shane is one of the best bar box players that has ever breathed.
This will be held over 3 sessions also. Friday night, Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon.Well so far I have gathered that staying with the bar box is the way to go and that Shane seems to be the favorite.
In regardless of price Sloppy eh?? I will be looking for sponsors once we get the word to go so you PPV may be higher than everyone elsesI'm in regardless of price. Personally, I'd love to see them play last pocket 8-ball on a bar box, but Earl and Shane matched up has always been very entertaining.
Per another thread, I guess that one pocket on a BB is pretty good. I personally have never seen it and can't help but wonder that the crowded table would take away alot of run out chances as it would with 14.1. I am not saying it would not work and I am certainly open to public opinion and we could put it in there maybe.1 pocket would be a joke, SVB would destroy Earl in 1 pocket, if they gambled playing 1 pocket Earl better ask for atlease 10-8 and he still would not like it!

People always seem to think that SVB will destroy Earl. The record seems to say otherwise. The only white wash was years ago when SVB hammered him in a TAR match. Otherwise, Earl beat him in the race to 100 on the 10 footer, SVB trailed for quite a while and then pulled ahead at the end (true, Earl self-destructed) in a race to 75 in 9 ball TAR last year, and then Earl beat him last month 25-24 on a 10 footer playing 10 ball. Earl has at least shown the ability to give Shane a tough match
Very observant and an astute post. I absolutely agree, but playing on a barbox changes things a bit in Shane's favor. When was the last time Earl even played on a barbox? This is true especially for 8 ball.

This is just laughable. The first 10' table they played on was GAFFED TO **** ALL AND BACK! The second 10' table I'm not sure, but lets be honest, Earl got lucky at the end. If they'd have raced to 100 instead of 75 on a 9ft, it would have been a wash again. The only time Earl has a chance to beat Shane is if Shane's head is not in the game, or its some kind of carny table, coupled with Earls sharking...
I like Earl, and would like to see him return to form, but come on people lets be honest. In a FAIR, REAL game, Earl can no longer beat SVB. In his prime, he probably beats him more than not, but he is far from prime now.
For the record, I like Earl, love to watch him play. Lets be realistic about his current skill set though.
best,
Justin
