F&W had let the cue go into the country.
This cue now has its story, a cue that has stayed in F&W for the X'mas & the new year.

i guess it's the 1st and only one that was seized & let go.

Wow...does this mean this case has set the precedent for other ivory cue to flow between countries now? what were the reasons for this? Letter from Pete Tascarella? We need the details.

Regards,
Duc.

Absolutely not, Don't be fooled thinking it's okay to ship ivory between Countries, It's not. I for one am still confused about the situation, The fact that F&W imposed the fine in my name for being the between guy for two gentlemen, Not broker, There was no fee for this, just a referee if you will. THEN they allow the cue in this Country instead of keeping it. Just blows my mind. I might be uninformed about certain things but the paper work from Pete should have been more than sufficient to verify the ivory's origin. Is it just me or is this systematic screwing at it's best.

Sting, maybe. Be warry all. It seems a little fishy to me.

No, it's not the case.
This cue was let go because its ivory is indeed 30 years old, which is definitely pre-CITES.
And also because of the letters from Pete to convince F&W that the cue is 30 years old.

For a new cue with young ivory, no chance to let go when gets caught.

Me, either.

i can't believe it, either ~
F&W has confirmed to me TWICE last week that the cue MUST be returned to me(shipper). While after the weekend, F&W told Tom(the buyer) that the cue would be released into the country very soon.
i called this "Surprise of the year".

They determined that the ivory was legal, pre-CITES and ok to come into the U.S., but they STILL fined Mike W?
