Early Gus

Hi,

From the pic It looks to be a short splice with non mitered veneers?

I thought Gus's early cues were Spain and Davis blanks before he did his own blanks.

Interesting. I love Gus and Barry Cues but don't really know the entire history.

That is the only one I every saw with a ring in the butt sleeve like that also.

This is a rare one me thinks.

Awesome cue

Rod

That is one nice Gus and you are a lucky man, sir. You have shown us a ton of top tier cues over the last year or so and you make me look every time you post one or two. Yep, I have to pick my jaw up.

This thread reminded me of another old Gus that I had for sale last year. I hope you don't mine me posting a link to the old thread here. I thought two great cues deserve to hang out with one another.

Thank you all for the great compliments, all I know is Barry said early 70's or 80's judging by the butt cap with the bumper off. Maybe someone can chime in, Rick. I thinks rare also, lol.

Thank you guys. My daughter likes it also.

You are good, Rick, here is the quote from Barry. It looks like a late 70's to early 80's cue of Dads.

Happy for you :)............enjoy.

JimmyK--------------->>> never owned a Gus. That needs to change!! :)
