I finally got some clips up on youtube that'll be a lot easier to view, it's still raw audio so if you hear the wife screaming at my don't sweat it. These clips aren't too practical but I think they show the strength of the new trainer.

Awful quiet thread for some crazy guy shooting with a laser guided aim, alignment and stroke training devise, this is azbilliards right? Are we not sure what to make of this?
 
JOe you continue to amaze me... Send me some info on that star wars thing!!! seeing the end rail cut like that reminds me how I lost some $$ this week... had that shot like 3 times and undercut each time.. Aiming by the numbers has been my biggest gain in years and this can only complete the journey!

Pretty impressive stuff. I think there'd be a lot more noise about your success if you weren't using the device, because none of us have used it, and so it's hard for us to appreciate how difficult those shots are with it. But anyway, I would have bet you a lot of money that you couldn't make that Vernon Elliott shot 3 out of 4 times and leave it hanging in the jaws the 4th time. So that's pretty amazing.

What did mosconiac mean, rail first? Is he talking about immediately when your cue hits it, and it's squeezed between your tip and the rail? Does this help you get the necessary spin/speed ratio?

Yeah Andrew you're right I was just expecting more "what the hell or how the hell" questions or comments. And I thought the instructors here would be the most eager to ask those questions but I guess most understand the concept. Can't wait to get out to the show and test it on strangers that don't know me (I always feel my local student are bias). From what little opportunities I've had to do this the before and after effect was quite good in just some 15-60 minute cases.

If I don't respond to any questions that's because I'm enroute to PA.

I saw the thread title go by, and thought that you had found a better video transfer method, and I had other threads to read, and no time at that instant for any youtube. So, I never looked in.

I certainly don't have enough time to look at all the threads, so I have to decide by titles which get my attention.

After thinking about this a moment, your technique is brilliant. How better to get massive side spin without a miscue than to use the side rail? I wonder if this is how VE did it or your own devious mind at work? :p

Great videos, your shots were even more impossible than the orginal
Vernon Elliots Bank.

In shot 2, the OB were one ball away from side pocket.
In shot 3, the OB were two balls away from side pocket.

In this diagram, the 11 ball line (red thick line) is the CB path.
Would you be able to:

1. Drag the 14 ball and its arrowhead to show where you are aiming
2. Shift+Drag the cue to show where it's pointing

Also, Were the aiming divice parallel to the cushion?
