Ebony on Ebony - Please Show Yours

John,

The has got to be the nicest full splice cue that I've seen in a long while. Wow!!! Just simple elegant!! What the weight?

Regards,
Duc.

Ebony on ebony full splice with titlist veneers. This one has the stainless steel radial pin, ivory joint and ivory Hoppe ring. Mr. Jerry Rauenzahn continues to build full spliced cues AND Jerry perfects his points on both ends. I LOVE the Titlist veneer colors, they are beautiful when you see them up close.

Bumping this thread to see any new ebony on ebony creations. Getting ready to design a new cue with African Blackwood instead of ebony of course from about five feet away the blackwood will look just like ebony...

Ebony on Ebony footnote.

Thanks Jamie, I visited a good friend yesterday that has just about every single mailing that the late John Wright ever sent out. His collection includes a month to month, year to year series of envelopes of all the cues that John had for sale. Every envelope has pics of the butt sleeves and the forearms including prices and some specs. It's a very interesting experience to go through it and see the evolution of cues and the prices that were being asked. We were looking for ebony on ebony cues and in the earlier years ie the late 80's into the early 90's there are very few pics of ebony on ebony cues. So he suggested we jump some years forward to the late 90's and found quite a few more so it seems like that is the point that ebony on ebony started to gain popularity.

Here is my first ebony on ebony cue currently in progress. Hopefully I will receive it at the 2013 SBE.
