Talaga nga naman. Nagtanong lang ako nagkagagalaiti ka na sa galit. Confirmation na "positive" ba ang sagot sa mga tanong ko? Really? I was just asking and you're going nuts in anger. Does that confirm that " positive" is the answer to my questions? You're pretty brave letting loose words against little people even though you yourself identified as the source of information. You don't doubt the big guys but you squelch the little guys.

I think the idea of a memorial tournament is a great one...especially one that is open to amateurs and professionals alike...I think that Edwin would have like that idea very much.

Sadly, he is now gone to us in body, but I believe that he will never be gone in spirit. Perhaps the best 'revenge' is to continue to perpetuate that spirit that was/is Edwin Reyes. He was martyred because of his passion for the game and for those who shared that passion, the players.

This was a senseless and greedy act. When the shock wears off, there will be a cry for action. Let that action be to continue on with the cause that was part of Edwin's heart and spirit. Use the unwanted martyrdom to perpetuate that which was close to his heart, and by doing so, you make him larger than life itself. While 'they' may have taken the man, 'they' cannot defeat a ghost...his spirit will live on.

John I am still in very much disbelief about this whole thing and you know I will stand by you and bo what ever I can to help. I will see you in a few months and we can talk about things face to face.

Even before I got to read your post JB, I already told my husband that I will suggest to our group (BMPAP) and to the new leadership of BSCP to hold an annual EDWIN REYES MEMORIAL CUP and all proceeds should go to his wife and children. This is a way of immortalizing him and paying him forward for all his sacrifices for the betterment of pool in the Philippines. This is a way of honoring his artistry. Today, we lost a man who could possibly be the best cuemaker Philippines has ever produced.
To all who could contribute to this worthy endeavor, let us all do this together.

My deepest condolences for your family's tragic loss. Of course I concur that that the organizers of this event should be Filipino. You can count on my support for this year and for every year from now on to celebrate Edwin's life and what he stood for.
