Efren has arthritis?

According to billiardphilippines.com, Efren is suffering from arthritis. Say it ain't so.

It could have something to do with the millions of strokes he's done over the last 45 years or so;) Johnnyt
 
I'm surprised that, while the Philippine paper writes the article in English, they didn't translate what Efren said in his native language...:confused:

Efren is suffering from a lot of things lately. Arthritis is just one of 'em. But at his age, I think it's to be expected. He's pushing his body more than he should (late nights playing/gambling, traveling a lot, etc). He can't seem to remember that he ain't that young no more.

He was/is the greatest of 'em all. He's got the record to prove it. Let's not expect him to do it all over again. Then again...he ain't called "The Magician" fer nuthin'!

One more reason I rarely participate overseas this year, specially in the US, is the tax rate is too high.
 
I find it interesting that he only mentioned arthritis as a culprit in the late 90's. As I remember, he didn't take to well to his Meucci and he quit smoking too.

Thanks, Joey. If he truly has arthritis, that's a tough one. Especially if it's rheumatoid.

That could very well be. It's very common to Filipino males specially inflammatory rheumatiod arthristis due to high level of uric acid. Could be from consuming coconut oil.

Actually Efren's ok with his diet.
Since he has no teeth, he avoids meats.
He loves pritong isda ( fried fish ).
