Pop, pop, it's show time with eight men left standing at the Joss Tour Turning Stone Resort Casino. The action begins at 11 a.m. Eastern.

Winner's side:
• Mika Immonen (Finland) v. Fedor Gorst (Russia)
• Abdullah al-Youssef (Kuwait) v. Jayson Shaw (Scotland)
Loser's side:
• Earl Strickland (USA) v. Dave Dreidel (USA)
• John Morra (Canada) v. Tyler Styer (USA)

The Iceman from Finland just turned 49 and has been making the rounds lately. The cream always rises to the top, and Mika Immonen is in it to win it at Turning Stone. Quite easy on the eyes for the lady railbirds.

From Russia with love, 21-year-old Fedor Gorst is like the Energizer Bunny who keeps going and going and going. He is a full-time professional player and knows how to win.

Abdullah al-Youssef is ranked No. 2 in Kuwait, right behind Omar al-Shaheen.

Eagle Eye from Glasgow is 33 years old and may be in the prime of his pool career. Jayson Shaw is an animated player who enjoys audience interaction when allowed and is also a family man when he's not on the road playing pool.

From Roseboro, North Carolina, Earl Strtickland is a living legend. At 60 years young, he has no quit in him and continues to play pool full-time. While other players have a few railbirds sweating their match. Earl always has a huge crowd surrounding his table because he pulls shots out of thin air that one may never have seen before. A dedicated player who is passionate about pool, nothing would please me more than to see Earl win this event today. Go, Earl, go.

From Utica, NY, USA, Dave Dreidel is a regular on the Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour and is on a mission to win it.

Everybody loves the left-handed Canadian pro player, John Morra. He's 32 years of age and is well liked by his peers and the fans. He will have a large fan base pulling for him to win today.

Tyler Styer is one of USA's young guns from Wisconsin. He's only 29 years old and already has a huge pool portfolio under his belt. He played full-time in 2021 and travels with his sweetie, European pro player Margaret Fefilova from Belarus, quite often.

earl vs shaw was a brilliant match yesterday but i think morra played even better against hohmann. i don't think he missed a ball. got the break down too. john's gonna be tough to beat.

I think Earl's time at straights tuned him up.

I have to root for John. I find it interesting that I heard him refered to as a left hander. He is not. He took up the left hand second and performs his best with it now. I can identify with that.
At one point in his last match I noticed he carried the cue in his right hand while contemplating.

I would truly like to watch this, but every single link I have opened says content unavailable. Is it something to do with UpState Al? Never had any problems in the past with any facebook streams... One more note. When I am not logged in to facebook and open a link it goes to UpState Al then the instant I login I get the content unavailable message.....

There is a little lettering that says watch on Facebook within the black unavailable square. Click that.
I'll post a new one here when it starts up.

he still uses the right for breaking, some power shots and when he can't reach with the left.

Morra missed a pretty easy 3-ball in the 12th game of the match.

Rooting for Dave. When I was a beginning player, I hosted a 9 ball tournament at my local college in central NY. He stormed into the finals, won the lag, and broke and ran the first two racks with a bunch of people from the college watching. Small tournament but a fond memory of mine and I’m glad to see him breaking through. It’s your time to shine, Dave!
