Today was the end of the league tournament.
My team won overall first place for league play.
I won top shooter
and in the tournament today i was to play from the one loss side for first place and it was already 8 hours in and we decided to split first and second money.
So for all of the above i walked out with $400. Not a lot of money but a tasty little score. All done with my trusty Lucasi cue.

Congratulations on your win, it is always nice when your practice pays off and you are recognized for it.

But, I find it very hard to believe that you could have accomplished the win with your Lucasi. Normally in tight situations when the heat is turned up the Rice used to secure the weight Bolt swells and throws the cues balance off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:p Sorry I could not help myself!!!!

But seriously congratulations!!!!!:)

Ive never heard of a Lucasi.
Congrats on your win, makes ya feel good don't it.
I lost B side of the B side of a 9 Ball tourney today, the winner got 12 whole dollars and bought me a beer afterwards.
I thought that was pretty sporting of him to split the pot with me.

Monwon i know you are not a big fan of the imported cues but it works for me. But here in Colorado with the low humidity the rice does not swell very much. :grin-square:
Thanks.

That is some funny stuff. Usually when I win it is because of my skill, luck or that the other player just sucks. When I lose it is because of the cue.:scratchhead::rotflmao1:

pointing out what cue you won with means little to me...

there's a guy in town who will consistantly beat me that plays with a Lucasi (probably under $200), and another guy I can consistantly beat that plays with a South West (over $2K)....if those two guys switched cues, I doubt the results would change.

I watched SVB shoot a bit at the Derby with my Jacoby, and it certainly didn't bring his game down to my level, lol.

Keep working on your game and playing well regardless of who made your cue or where it was made

i'm really happy that your happy with your cue, congrats. You did about $8,000 better than I did the past 3 weeks :( playing pool.

keep up playing and let us know how it goes.

take care buddy,

Eric :)

I think measureman and manwon were both being 'tongue-in-cheek' with the cue comment...coming off the neverending 'Are Custom Cues Better' (something like that) thread.

Congrats on your wins measureman!!

We recently had our womens' league playoffs, and my team trophied for 2nd for the season, went undefeated over 4 days of play during playoffs for a 1st place trophy, and I trophied for 8 ball breaks. :D No money involved in this league. :sorry: Whether there is money involved or not...it's always nice to come out on top!

Manwon and i have had our differences on where cues are made and I've also taken a little heat here on my Lucasi and i threw that in because of that and don't wish to start another controversy. :D

Here's the best part. I took my $400 added a little to it and bought a Sony LCD TV. Typical pool player i got the money at 7PM Saturday and spent it at 4 PM Sunday!

All I can say is differences aside, and where I am concerned in the past, my congratulations were sincere!:)

Congrats on the win! I agree, it's not the arrow, it's the indian.

It is the indian... he never has tables for me to shoot on at his local casino so I get stuck losing $100s on BJ.

Congrats on the league tourney... which league was it, by the way? In house?
