Engles 1 x 2 Case

Uh oh Chop.. You're getting sloppy letting everyone see and hear about some of your collection you so secretly gaurd..LOL ;)

LOL! :grin-square:

That picture is linked from a post I made here three years ago.

Just recycling old pics.....

There is more laying around here somewhere.... Just don't tell me wife...she has even less idea than you guys might....

Anyway, I am real curious about how that case cleans up. I am really thinking I may have been overly cautious with mine.

.

I will have some pictures to post in a little while. This is the first day I have had time to mess with the case. Work gets in the way of so much fun stuff...lol. Now that I am on vacation, I have time to work on that old case.

Not a print

That isnt a print my brother, that is the real deal.

Congrats, couldnt happen to a nicer guy.

Best of rolls,

Ken

Here are a few quick pictures of the case after a cleaning job. I have not hit it with leather cleaner yet. I still plan on getting some quality cleaner/conditioner and work out the harder to clean areas looking better.

Looks great and thats a beautiful Tasc.

since the pictures are different lighting and such it can be deceiving. Its certainly looks much cleaner. How would you compare the results of the cleaning first hand? Big difference?

It does look cleaner.

It will darken with age no matter what...get some patina as time passes.

I think the first cleaning did a decent job. It is not what I was hoping for but I have not cleaned it with much more than an magic erase pad. Next up will be with a decent quality cleaner designed for leather applications. I expect better results and will post pictures after the fact.

Thanks for the compliments on my Tascarella. I would love to order another one down the road when I have some money I can put into the project. I know exactly the cue I would order.

May I suggest Bicks leather cleaner? Try it & I'm sure you'll be happy with the results. Really nice case btw.

Here is the end result of two good cleanings and two conditioning passes. It was well worth the effort to preserve this case. I still think I can get it looking even better once I find a better applicator that will get down in all of the tiny pores of the leather and lift more dirt out.

One thing I have learned about elephant leather is that it soaks up everything you put on it like a sponge. When I got this case home, it felt real dry and course. After two applications of conditioner, it still feels about the same way. The leather does feel more pliable now than before I started the process. I will keep applying the conditioner and letting it soak into the leather and remove any excess.

looks like a good one
i paid 500 for one
some were great cases, some had the seam come apart,
yours looks great

you can actually get 3 shafts in some of these
like the old fellini

you have a very nice case there

i never cared about the keys, they made no sense to me,
but i just discovered a small group here
i will send you one,but
it might not fit your case
i know not if it is for george, fellini,or one like yours or
if they are all alike

happy holidays
dean

Some of those dark splotches might be glue, try a little mineral spirits on them to see if they wipe away.
