Enough is enough -- shut up or put up

Well, I am also tired of all the silly talk and not backing it up. All you playas that are really posers need to put up! Show ME your video of how good you are. I bet my "buddy" can beat you. Any amount, you name it.

Just to prove to you how bad you are and how good I am through my buddy, here is a video of someone I once saw IN PERSON - aka my "buddy." So, if you don't have the ability to put up, well then step off and shut up. Now watch my "friend" show you how good I am since I have a picture with him. A real picture with me and him. Now put up.
LINK HERE TO ME PUTTING UP

Pick either "buddy" - they'll both play you!

See, it does sound silly.

Now, how'd I know your buddy was gonna be Efren?

I will come down to the Bay Area, California Billiards or Shoreline, & play some one pocket with either or both of you. Make the bet right for the trip. Last trip down there cost me $700 to Lettuce Larry. John

nevermind....no thanks

It's funny, first people tried to discredit Chris by claiming he used a smaller cue ball, and now you woof about something else. The sentiment seems to be; if one thing doesn't stick, try something else. How silly.

Just looked at this thread, seems it's about draw shots. I just did this nice one in my tourney. Bridge off the rail, jacked up a bit, as the cue was too close to the pocket, was pretty much straight in on the 8. Placed the cue perfect for the 9, but rattled the 8 due to the speed I had to hit it.

Oh watch out buddy boy -- don't tell the lads that a monster draw-shot can be useful, (betya' you'll soon hear some woofing from LoGiC, td873, Neil, cubswin, JohnPT, etc ;^)

I was clocked in Vegas a couple years ago at just under 30mph on a bar table with one of Sardos junk sticks. I bench 300lbs give or take 5lbs on either side of 300. With my cue on a 9 footer I'd say 32 or 33 mph.

I'd bet all day against you putting up a good rep at 300 lbs, unless there's some camera trick going on and it's just an optical illusion making it look like you've got 13-inch arms and haven't seen a gym in a few years. A guy your height needs a LOT of tricep to put up that weight, and I don't see it on that video.

As diagramed that is not straight in.

Based on your CB starting position and position of the 8-ball, and the CB path you show......I would have used follow on that shot and played shape for the other side of the 9-ball.

Let me quote myself from earlier in this thread..."
Sure, great to break up balls if you have some control of it. Didn't see that in your video"

I'm betting he's one of "those guys" at the gym who put up 2x what they can handle, have a spotter pull it off the rack, drop it down super fast about 1/4 of a full rep then arch the shit out of their back putting it back on and call that a rep.

Until you're coming down, pause on the chest and back up, on your own, back flat, etc... It doesn't count.

Not that I'd know... last time I spotted my brother on a clean rep it was "only" 405... He's about bumpypickles size :p

I think Peer needs to apologize for calling a group of people he doesn't know pussies. Surely this is nothing he would say if he were standing in a room with these "pussies"

Thank you for posting this.
I haven't slept a wink since being lumped in with all you other pussies.

Okay then, so let also me quote what you said earlier about the value of this shot:

guess my question is why do I want to draw a ball that hard?

How quickly we forget ;^)

~laughing~ without any control there is no need to draw a ball that hard. I can't
draw that hard and control, and from your video neither can your friend. And evidently you can't either.

Now the guy that drew straight back for shape, if he made the 8 that is a useful shot.

Enjoy your thread.

No no, you said; "guess my question is why do I want to draw a ball that hard?"

No matter how you want to spin it, there's clearly a use for a power shot like this. Period.

My honest opinion

My honest opinion is that this thread was doomed to get ugly from the start. Peer, I don't think you meant any harm, but I think the way the original post and video were framed probably made people feel that the whole forum was being woofed at.

Specifically, Okinawa77 was singled out, possibly unfairly. I noticed that he lives in Sunnyvale, so I don't know if there's some history between the three of you that we aren't aware of, or perhaps it's just coincidence. As for his post, it was in a thread titled, "How far can you draw?". So I don't think he did anything wrong by answering as he did.

Also, when Pickle stuck his tongue out in the video, that could probably be interpreted as show boating, gloating, etc. I think he was probably just having fun, but it could have been interpreted as an "in your face" gesture.

When you made the "pussies" remark, I know you were kidding, because you said "smilies are for pussies", and then used a smiley.

Just trying to get to the heart of the matter, as the pages are adding up, no one seems any less annoyed at each other than before. LOL.

I agree, everyone needs to calm down, take a deep breath, and punch out a stuffed animal to get the agression out. I just read the last few pages and this reply, seems like people are mis-interperting things and going off the handle a bit. I mean I post my super cool draw shot and no-one even praises me because you are too busy calling each other names. Seesh.. don't make me find another forum to brag about my mad skillzz on, I want praise god-damn it! I think the title of the post can be a bit less confrontational, maybe next time just say "look, a nice draw shot, pat on back please".

Well, Cuebacca, since I know that you are a good guy, I'll give you some insight to how this silly video thingee came about.

As I said in my initial post, one night Chris ("bumpypickle") and I were bullshitting about woofing, etc, and Chris pointed out that someone on AzB ("okinawa77") claimed he could draw two table length. Even though I don't know who okinawa77 is (maybe I've met him, but can't associate anyone with that username), I said that I doubted that he, or anyone, could make a shot like that.

But when Chris insists that he has actually done this shot himself, I ran to get my camera (I always keep my small video camera in the car) to challenge him to make this shot again -- on camera. I'm tired of woofers who can't back up their bark.

However, Chris says he isn't up for it. Whata'fuk?!

Well, anyone who knows me also knows that I'd go off on anyone. And Chris is no exception. So I start calling him a feline and all sorts of other effeminate attributes to coerce him to make this shot on camera. And finally he caved in, red-faced.

Also, when Pickle stuck his tongue out in the video, that could probably be interpreted as show boating, gloating, etc. I think he was probably just having fun, but it could have been interpreted as an "in your face" gesture.

As you probably can hear in the video, after Chris makes that clean two rail shot, I say something like "that was your first try" while in fact it was his fifth attempt. I did this so I could later edit out the other shots and leave the video with that perfect shot -- that's why Chris sticks his tongue out, knowing that this wasn't his first try. But later I thought it would be more interesting to show the entire video, so I just left the bad shots in there too -- start to finish, (till my battery died).

When you made the "pussies" remark, I know you were kidding, because you said "smilies are for pussies", and then used a smiley.

Anyone who gets offended when called a pussy, is a pussy.

In any case, you should know that Chris is like a teddy bear -- a very friendly and goodhearted person. (But yet, I hate him -- why should that guy be so darn gifted playing pool?!)
