I am in Houston Texas, and I have an entire warehouse full of inventory ready to be sold in one lot. I have mainly used and antique pool and billiard tables. I also have a 5x10 Brunswick Gold Crown Table. To name a few of the antique tables, I have Brunswick St. Elmo, 2 Brunswick Royal 4 Leg tables, Brunswick Medalist 6 leg Billiard table (no pockets). I also have many other tables and extra slate as well. I have been in business since 1956 in Houston and have accumulated many table parts and other inventory. I need to sell everything and must go as soon as possible. Please call me at 832-661-5715 for more information. It is very hard to do an inventory list because of how much stuff I have, so thats why i am taking best offers. Thank you and I hope to hear from you all soon... Pennies on the Dollar!!

Don't bother. He won't respond. He hasn't responded to any of my three PMs about his inventory. Apparently he's not interested in parting out at all.

He starts these threads once sometimes twice every couple of days.

Bishop I actually have responded to your messages. Im not interested in just parting some of the inventory.... Thats going against what im trying to do, and thats selling the inventory as a whole.....

I never received your response. Thanks anyway. Contact me if you wish to part out.

Thank you anyways but i will not part out because it will take me too long to do that, I will onnly sell as a whole and will contiue to try and do that

Great Opportunity...

I think the forum has been a bit too ugly towards Rumsey. Rumsey and his family are great people. And you guys on the forum think it's real easy to just create a list but it's not. I mean they have everything from ball return systems, extra rails for GC's, antique tables, antique cue racks, slates, old balls, new balls, table lighting, billiard related art, cues, hardware, nameplates, antique parts, special tools, yada, yada and the list goes on and on. The most valuable things are several real old Brunswicks and some English pub tables. His family had a great Billiard Supply store for over 50 years. Now his father is moving into retirement. Over 50 years in business and they have accumulated lots of inventory and stuff. Their business has become a bit stagnet over the last few years. But the tools, equipment, art, lights, antiques etc are still there and still have value. This is a great opportunity for someone. But it's up to you as an interested buyer to do your own due dilligence. So when I was considering this I took it upon myself to create my own list and photos. I inspected everything and on more than one occasion I crawled around in their warehouse looking and counting everything. I never made a firm offer because I just don't have the time.

If one is really interested then you should travel to Houston and do your own due dilligence.

Rumsey,
Would you like me to post my list and some photos?

Regards,
Mark

I don't understand waiting a year or more for someone to buy the entire lot (if that even ever happens) vs. taking 6-8 months to part it out.

He doesn't have a price or a comprehensive list of what is offered so how can he expect any kind of an offer. Let alone expect someone to travel all the way to Houston without knowing the extent of what is there.

At least a dozen people on this forum are interested in some of what he has to sell. Myself included.

Maybe he should do his due dilligence so we know exactly what he has to sell and for how much.

For what it's worth I've been out to his warehouse few times while he was still open to buy some titlists he had for sale. He took the time to show me all of his antique tables etc... And he did have alot of nice tables at the time. That was 6 months or so ago. I'm sure if he did decide to part it out he could sell alot of his inventory.

I wonder how hard it would be to bump the thread each day or every other day with a few inventory pics and prices. Just an idea.

I agree.

Rumsey,
All you need to do is reply to your own thread and post a few pics, etc.

I understand what you are saying, Mark, but it is impossible to make any kind of reasonable ofer without knowing at least what is available. Maybe some pix of the key items, etc and a partial list. I know one person who has been there to look things over, and he said there was an incredible amount of stuff...probably 1-2 semi loads. However, he also said that many of the items he asked about were "excluded", so without a detailed list, you have no certainty of what will be sold to you versus what will be kept by the current owner.

As for traveling to Houston to look the stuff over...I might do it if I had a list and pix, but I doubt that I would spend a grand or so just to travel from Maryland to Texas just to look at a warehouse of stuff.

This stuff should probably wind up in a large auction. I just can't see anyone buying a warehouse full of stuff with no idea of what it is.

I have an envelope with some money in it...I will trade it for the warehouse full of stuff. Does that sound like a good deal?

Bishop,

Are you in the Billiards Business or do you just think it's important that everyone reads your commentary on how you disapproved of Rumsey's strategy? I can't argue with you about your opinion regarding parting it. But parting out takes work and time. And the whole idea is to exit the Billiards Business and sell it all. Put yourself in his shoes, if he let's everyone cherry pick the hot items he will be left with everything else to deal with. I really think he should have an auction. But how many would come in? I mean, you live in Corpus and are not willing to spend the afternoon and drive up. I think if you were really serious you would.

Cheers,
Mark

I hear you Bama...If Rumsey allows me I will post the pics I took and I will post my list of the key inventory items. I can tell you there are about (18) various pool, carom and snooker tables with good value. Plus, everything else you could only imagine.

It sounds like he needs to contact a liquidator rather that hope by posting a new thread everyday that someone on AZB will come to Texas to buy an entire warehouse full of whatever is in a full warehouse....especially one he is unwilling to part out.

I think his terms and ideas are wrong for this forum given his conditions for sale.

keep all that logic stuff to yourself!

i really never understood people dead set on selling everything as a group. i guarantee he'd sell it faster by parting it out.

a list of items with prices next to them never hurts either.

GL with your sale OP. i've got a friend in texas. i'll ask him if he might be interested for you

I would drive up if I was interested in an entire lot. Which I'm not. We aren't talking about clothing or appliances. His lot appears to contain items that most people couldn't afford...let alone a lot full.

Looks like he might have been able to part out a large portion of the lot already. He might have even been able to collect what he wanted for the entire lot in the first place. I don't know...none of us do because none of us know what's for sale and for how much.

I can't understand why he wouldn't move a few larger items over it sitting there. Maybe he should break the lot up in to 5 smaller more reasonably priced lots with pictures and an inventory. It would make sense to part out the tables and then repackage some of the other stuff in to similar groups or product that goes together.

I would be willing to part out his lot for him for a fee. Cover some expenses, shipping and pay me a commission. It seems he has some stuff that I'm interested in. Or PM me a price for the lot with at least a few pictures...maybe I'll buy the lot and part it out. I would even be willing to go up and look at everything if a few members here would like to make a group purchase to be parted out between us.

What does he want? 20k-50k-80k-2k. A price would be nice.

I agree Mr. Wilson

Rumsey is trying but he is overwhelmed and doesn't know where to start. This would be a good opportunity for someone who wants to make an investment into a few antique tables and can restore them. But as you are well aware discretionary spending is at an all time low. And so what was once worth $20k+ fours years ago, i.e., restored 10 ft Medalist is worth only a portion today. And that's only if someone is willing to pull the trigger and make the transaction. This would be a good opportunity to make an investment hedging that luxury items make a come back in fours years. If not some Billiard Supply guy in Houston is going to give Rumsey a low ball offer and move it all to his warehouse.

Cheers,
Mark
