I've got a feeling I know who will win this contest, but on this St. Paddy's Day, it seems appropriate to honor as many Irish players as we can collectively remember, and let's not forget the ladies.

I'll hold my choices for later. Let's hear about yours.
 
well i guess i have to go with me. i'm not the best irish pool player i've seen - but i am my favorite;)
 
There are a lot of great Irish players, but seriously I am a bigger fan of me than anybody else!!

My personal picks would be Keither with the Ether and Karen Corr, with Julie Kelly and Jack Cooney winning honorable mention.

I concur...if you have never had the pleasure of seeing Alex Higgins playing snooker in his prime, you owe it to yourself to pick up a tape or DVD. He was amazing.

I grew up watching him play snooker. That guy is raw natural talent!
 
I have a lot of Irish favorites, but Julie Kelly is at the top of my list. She is just SO Irish. Everything about her is symbolic of that land. She is joyful, always has a quick smile and her soul contains just enough mischief to make the leprechauns wink.
