Hmmmmm, it looks like the rest of the WPBA are catching up with Helena, Karen, Alison, and Jeanette. Maybe I'll start watching womans pool again.
 
Just to let everyone know something else about the Florida showings, they did a pretty cool thing with interviewing alot of the players who don't or haven't made it to the TV rounds. They were pretty long "get to know you" sessions. I think they will be airing at every commercial break. I'm not 100% certain on it, but I thought everyone could be on the look out.

FYI: To anyone who lives or will be in the Southern California area. Billiard Connection in Northridge, CA will be hosting a "viewing party" for my match on Jan 3rd at 6pm PST. All are welcome to come hang out with me and my friends as we watch me lose spectularly to Karen Corr on ESPN2....LOL.

I'm sure quite a few folks will be tuning in to see AzBilliard's own Melissa Herndon on Monday, January 3rd! Can't wait! :p

In looking at the ESPN.COM website, I see not one mention of pool/pocket billiards under the sports categories. They've got a section for chess, though, but not a thing about Team USA winning the prestigious Mosconi Cup!

I think they should at least have a separate category for POOL, even if it's under "OTHER SPORTS," detailing the winners of the various tournaments ESPN does broadcast.

I am looking forward to seeing these matches, especially with the new faces, and I think the get-to-know interviews of the lady players that Sarah mentioned is a good move! :)

I am very excieted about Melissa's television debut. I just wish I knew someone in the travel business so that I could score some perferably free tickets (come on..it's New Years!!) to the Sunshine state to attend this viewing of which Melissa speaks. :D

Further more, I am anticipating these interviews too. I sure hope they are better than swimming. :p
 
JAM, if you go to ESPN's TV listings page here and scroll below the daily listings, there is an option to view the schedule by sport. Under "weekly", select "billiards" and it will display all the pool on for that week. If you want to view another week, after selecting to view billiards weekly, click on a date on the calender on the right of the page and it will display the matches for the week you picked.

Thanks for the info 9-ball girl! I've been waiting to see the Albuquerque US Open on TV, as I was there in person to watch Melissa's great performance. I'm the guy with the beard in the VIP section right behind her seat!

Well said, Cap'n. I also enjoyed watching Melissa. I really like her smile, er, style. The way she fires the balls in the hole is something that you don't often see from the ladies, other that JLee. I think you gotta MAKE them balls go in the hole!!

Get back on TV, Herndon!!
