EYE PATTERN “Best Practices” … Cue Ball or Object Ball Focus Last?

Passion is a powerful emotion. My true story of my wife and Lavern demonstrate that. Pretty sure she looks object ball last. But I am too timid to ask her. Gawd knows I have evoked passionate responses from her at times. 😉 Self Righteous is definitely the emotion that brings a passionate response in my pool game. Calling me a Cheater (or was it Liar? Same difference 🤷‍♂️) provided the catalyst for me to win my first, "Big Boys" tournament.

Oh what the heck, might as well live on the edge. Passion Trumps Logic.
I better stop now. 😉

The Leap of Faith is an exhilarating moment. It's required to make.....the change. It's a change for the better in that to this day it provides that exhilaration of the, "Oh My Gawd, it worked." The times I get the absurd tiny shape. All come when I follow My program giving my thoughts the computer program method (Ronnie's style has been labled). The analysis then solution selection blending into the execution is a dance. The timing and moves brings me to the contact. The ring finger gets the final execution and the cueball/tip interaction is the beginning of the journey. I monitor that trajectory and compare to expectations. Data. 🤔 well even Ronnie doesn't make them all. But I find comfort in knowing I can suse out the error or malfunction and play confidently next chance. (If I get one 🤷‍♂️)

Confidence and Cocky meating head to head can be exhibition as well. Ya Wanna Play Some? 😉
Who said, "Meat Head"? Must be freaudian.

"Whatever is Comfortable ", is my answer to the enquiry, "how much?"
Comfortable And Aroused Is my favorite condition. Just like in poker, The Art of Negotiation is required of a sales person. Being able to produce the goods is the profit margin.
So I never give a number that I can't afford a double. Just like poker.

Stage frightened is real. I have experienced it and I have methods for by passing it. Now! 😉
I have studied the game a long time now. My earliest study had me watching Dan Louie. '84 or '85. Musta been 84. Danny beat Parica twice at Ceasars Tahoe. Efren had not arrived. Parica was playing that level. In a Reno event I watched him go hill/hill with Earl. Danny missed the straight in simple 6 leaving Earl the same. Earl missed it Too!!! But shit the hook. Earl got out ptttttfffffttt. Danny said, "Greg, I just got nervous. " I said, "I can identify with that." Shrug. I better hang up now. 😉

I think the pattern is very clear. Scots genetically must look at cue ball last.
Although you were probably joking, I do think that there may be a kernel of truth here - but it is more the influence of prominent Scottish cue sport professionals - Hendry in particular.

One thing that I have noted is that looking from OB to CB can cause unintentional head movement.
Why? Seems that would be just shitty mechanics/psr. Should be able to easily move focus back-n-forth without moving your head.

Ronnie Allen was the King of One Handed Jacked Up. Try it and guess which ball he was looking at when he hit whitey.
The most incredible shot I heard of him executing was, one handed one attempt for all the money that filled all 6 pockets with rail bird bets. A spot shot on a 9 foot table. And no rails touched.
Try it.

Seeing the contact of the cb/obj. ball at the same time, allows my brain to process play conditions, and fine tune my walk up on all cut shots and shots.

The attempts on my equipment indicate a centerball strike won't quite stop in time. An off center strike elevated and one handed is a fun experiment. It does require a solid chasis and suspension would be my race car annalogi.
