he was offered a refund....... Period.

It was his choice to illegaly buy a cue from the states with ivory in it, it was his choice to return it or not..... Period.

His hesitation was because of the legality of shipping ivory, not because kenny wasn't doing the right thing...... Period.

You want to have beef with kenny, feel free. It's a free country. But he did nothing wrong in the situation with kam. He offered to take it back, what else could be expected from a cue dealer?

I appreciate that and am not trying to change it. No hard feelings.

K.C......You were "called out" leaving sending a warped cue to "a friend" (overseas for that matter) to the extent he had to search publicly for assistance. It was only your friendship that saved your ass as anyone else you would have been the biggest "kam" supporter of his dilemna.

you should not be selling quality cues of this calibre without your itrade updated.

Hey man that total BS you coming into a guys for sale thread and bashing him for something that happened in a deal you weren't involved in. Kam lived where he lived when he bought the cue, the BEST a seller can do for buyer dissatisfaction is unwind the deal which was offered immediately. This isn't about you sticking up for Kam, you could care less about Kam. This is about some slight you feel you suffered. You are trashing him for not being a stand up seller when he offered a refund to someone else? You need to take a look at your own behavior and maybe come clean with what's really bothering you (but please not here).

for the record, kenny and i are ok ...

there is no need to drag any past issues into the present ...

kenny and i have spoken and i look forward to his visit and hope to continue to trade cues with him for many years to come.

for the record, kenny paid barry 50% of the cost of new shafts for the cue in question.

i had barry give that money to a home helping single mothers during thanksgiving.

Kenny and I are good !

i would fully endorse any cues kenny sells ..

i cannot and will not support any public "flogging" due to any issues i may have wished discussed and clarified ..

can't we just talk like civilised people sharing a common love...

sometimes one may need an informed opinion - where should we turn to ? should it not be our friends right here ? if every time we simply ask for an opinion and the result is another member gets crucified, then where is the dignity in this bond ?

let it go....

things happen ... to all of us ... celebrate the triumphs, garner strength from the failures but most of all, grow from the experience...

Although I have issues personally with Ken c, I will respect your views and cancel my ongoing (outgoing) fued. Ken is right, my intention was to create conversation and debate and too not to let the issues rest. Ken also knows if the "kam issue" was anyones but his own, he would have been leading the flogging.

Thanks Fast & Loose for your fine debate.....my editing was merely due to finding errors in spelling/punctuation while trying to respond in a timely manor. Sorry for the frustration.

Ken C did cost me 7k+ (a very tough swallow....too say the least) and he and knows that, and i hope, by now, everyone else knows as well, but I will leave his threads alone as my intention was never to frustrate anyone but Ken and his efforts. (He and I will meet up some day and probably laugh at all this.......riiiiiight)

anyone buying, selling or trading cues has probably lost money at some time... guess these are our war wounds and battle scars ..

but it is in battle that we can discover our true humanity ..

money can be earned back, but respect ... that is a whole different thing...

let us not squander something in a flash that has taken us a lifetime to accumulate.

if we all took care of our own end, the forum as a whole will inevitably rise to a whole new level ...
