Noone sold me a fake....the issue is, and always has been, how the thread was initially presented to AZ in the beginning. Through multiple conversations with Barry he simply stated that the people that I had dealt with were the same people documented throughout the 70's (with reciept's in Barry's possesion) that had done multiple purchases with his father concerning brand new cues. Barry completely understood my dilemna and felt for me for the position i was in. After he and I had over an hour and a half discussion, Barry simply stated he had never seen this particular joint (as well as a couple other little things on ththis cue) and if he had to decide he would decide in favor this was "not" one of his dad's cues. He did know the person I bought the cue from and he is a business owner of 40+ years in maine and he knows my dilemna and apologizes for it on my behalf. The issue has, and still is, solely the way it was presented to AZ by KenC that I was doing something delibrately diseptive. Then, of all people, Ken C. pulls a slick move with a couple "snake taper" Schick shafts, only after it took everyone and his brother Ken K (figuratively) for him to come clean. And what knowone knows to this point....one of Kens good friends called/emailed me afterword.....I forgot his name but he was from England. He offered me $2500 for the cue as/is and stated he would just hold the cue until Barry passed. (this guy was a real tool) But he knew (or suspected) the cue was authentic, and was willing to take the risk.....I told him to go **** himself and I wouldn't sell it to him anyway (not to mention he wanted me to send the cue to G.B. and he would then send back the money...then he offered to send the money up front). I have not heard from him for over a year now.
To all AZ mebers.....I do not own a fake "Gus"....I own an unsellable cue that cannot be sold as a confirmed "Gus" and it is a damn shame. Barry even gave me permission to sell the cue (with explaination) as a courtesy based on the people involved on my end. I elected not to progress in any longer with the cue.
It is a true shame this all occurred but Ken C have screwed over a couple other people as well that i know.....including a particular consignment G.B. that was sold overseas with incredible disception....I do not want to go through everything again but check my history and my ebay history (same name) and you will see my charactor....I have no beef with any other member's but be aware that if the same issue was from somone else doing an overseas sale that created a respected member seeking input anonymously, solely because he had recieved no satisfaction to date, and he felt he needed the support of AZ to guide him, KenC would have been the most vocal member to assist him, he would have chastized the seller publicly, yet he turns out to be the culprit, and once the dust clears, he changes all of his contact,website, personal nickname and history information....
Yes AZ.....Ken is probably your friend and you are devoted for many reasons but Kam's search for closure fully confirms that until all was exposed, Kens sale was unfulfilled.......and honestly people, would any of you have paid 50% for a new set of shafts, from such a respected seller, after it was clearly noted Kam recieved the shafts in that condition....
you all know Ken.....just because you like Ken C, or because I don't, doesn't mean Kams search for assistance, as well as the confirmed findings of the sale, should give ken a pass especially when he is continuing to sell the same quality cues both domestic and overseas. Ken C's Itrade should reflect Kam's search for assistance. Kam searched because the seller failed to make right the option Kam felt was acceptable. Just because he is a "friend" does not give him a pass on a deal gone askew.
put your feelings for Ken C. aside and state your true thoughts if someone/anyone sold a perfect B.Schick. "to you" and both shafts were warped and it cost you another $400+/- to make correct. I can't believe I am the only one who has this opinion......but this is my opinion regardless.
I do not sell fake anything....my history reflects my actions and I stand behind mine and my sons transactions before and after the buyer inspects any item sold....I sell everything with a home phone number available and have never hid from anyone.
I will continue to do business as Ihave done. Anyone who has done business with me knows I am a man of my word. (Not 50% of my word)
We can go on but realistically there is no changing my opinion and I respect yours. Ken and I will never play nice in the sandbox, obviously, and i accept that. I will not respond again to this issue in the future.

you should realize more than anyonyone a deal gone bad is why Itrade is there....to support members in buying from members that are a risk....same as a credit report reflects your financial history...

If he was satisfied he would not have looked for assistance in the first place.
I know he is your friend and you play at his room.....don't comprimise your values protecting someone that clearly did not make an appearance concerning Kams thread until his good friend Ken K was bought in.

Kenny said the shafts for Kam's cue were straight when he packed them- why would a dealer of high-end cues do anything to possibly alienate a high-end buyer (especially when that seller is often in the buyer's part of the world- I had dinner and shot pool with Kenny in Bangkok last month, so I'm on the "friends of Ken" bandwagon as the guy is completely straight-up and only out to do the best business he can:wink

OK, so the shafts ended up having a problem- the seller IMMEDIATELY offers a refund- the buyer (for whatever reason) decided that was not in his best interest and sought another solution (the seller was not in any way obligated to go along with this, but went the extra mile, and a mutually acceptable agreement was reached)- yeah, maybe the seller wasn't too crazy about dropping a few hundred on replacement shafts and would rather have had the cue back, but he did what he needed to do to satisfy the buyer (who, by his own admission, is COMPLETELY satisfied and is not only willing to do more business with the seller, but hopes to hook up with him in Hong Kong the next time he's in the neighborhood).
IF EVERY SELLER ON AZ WERE LIKE KENNY (AND THERE ARE PLENTY OF GOOD ONES), WE WOULDN'T NEED iTRADER BECAUSE EVERY BUYER WOULD HAVE A GUARANTEE OF SATISFACTION RIGHT OFF THE BAT.:thumbup:

I read the thread- it looked like Kam possibly felt that he was asking for too much and was looking for validation (this is purely speculation, and I don't want to judge a member whom I've never had any dealings with and whom I respect as a reasonable guy from the way he posts, but I am responding to the question)- in my world, all a buyer can expect is a full refund if he's not satisfied- anything else is a negotiation between him and the seller.
I wouldn't have been happy if I were Kam, but I would have to be at least satisfied knowing that a full refund was available if the cue was not what I expected- I would have been very happy if the seller was willing to work with me to make me happy (which certainly seems to have happened).
