Hey folks,

Apparently there are some more of these counterfeit Schon cues floating around out there. I was offered one this weekend from a guy in SC, I think. He was convinced that it's a Schon but I informed him otherwise.

There was a thread on here a few weeks ago when somebody spotted one on ebay. Same crap. http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=291262

Heads up.....buyer beware out there.

Sean

You would think that someone with the technology/willingness to create a fake "Schon" logo (and cue) could determine the correct font/font size....what a goat-rope...

It's pretty easy to tell that's a fake Schon, because the points aren't cut with a quarter inch CNC bit and the rings actually line up.

... and the rings actually line up.

Without doubt the most irritating thing of all.
I can't believe the money they ask for cues where the rings are not even close. Sometimes, it wouldn't matter even if they tried, the ring set chosen could never be properly indexed.

Yep, it's pretty easy to get decals to a razor sharp point.

Btw, this beauty can be yours for $400, just so no one complains about this psa not having anything for sale.

I saw these fake Schons in China many many times. They sold these cues to local poolrooms andThey come with a few versions. Some are with Schon logo. Some are with Adam logo. In China they give these type of cues as a free club membership gift.

That would be funny except that some of the "knock off" imports actually have real spliced points. In fact some of them have been full splice with veneers and even points. A lot of folks that deal with "high end" stuff wont know such things because they apparently can't be bothered to even look at such cues.

Kind of makes you go HUH?:confused:

This particular example is one of those that apparently uses decals though.
