Guys in all honesty this forum doesn't need it.

Sascha you took a few people's trust in this forum and basically crapped all over it. It's as simple as that and before you go off consider one thing real quick.
I do know both sides of the story because i heard your side.

The worst part is these people put their faith in you and forgave you. I understand what it's like to want to shoot like schmidtie or Marop. I get it man trust me I do. I am a 28 year old who has now shot in the world straight pool championships twice and got my ass handed to me by Mika and Thorsten both and both times on the TV table.

Do you think it would be ok if i got distracted and replaced a ball with oliver ortman? No? I didnt think so. Well guess what its not ok on your videos either.

I swear you have more moves than james cameron man. You should have helped produce avatar with all of your special effects.

To go back to the point I was making I know what its like to shoot over your head and to want something so bad you can taste it.

You obviously can shoot simple as that. Why fudge runs and videos. You should consider yourself very lucky that your 83 ball video was not handed out and posted here for everyone to play detective with once again.

Dude we all make mistakes and I have had my fair share on this forum but I picked myself up dusted myself off and made something of myself within this forum. With Steve and many others I am helping to better our sport through more and more events. What have you done except to produce more and more video lies?

So i ask you nicely to please stop posting your videos for all of our sakes and more importantly to not drag anyone else down with you in your stream of crap and I think you know who i am talking about. This person who I speak of has done nothing but befriend you and stand behind you and you basically spit in his face as well the people on this forum.

Guys lets get back to business and keep making this forum great.
 
If anyone should feel Hurt, Betrayed, or Bothered by the turn of events it is Myself and a few other Key members of this great sub-forums in 14.1 Forum.

We stood behind him after the last incident in trust that he would make good on his wrong doings of the past and move on, i guess we were the stupid ones who believed that to be so. In not so many words i feel as though as we have been Spit On right in our faces.

I am sorry to all that i have offended in the past by giving someone a second chance. i have learned a valuable lesson !


It really is a shame, because Sascha can shoot a great game i believe there is no reason to have to pull a stunt like this. i guess the pursuit of getting a huge number on video got the best of him.


I do have the video,and i cant believe my name was attached to such an atrocity. I will not post it or take screenshots to prove what has happened. trust in me that i know what i saw. and i know that we all have been lied to for the last time !!!

This forum was started to exchange ideas to help us all become better players. That was all inclusive - no matter where anybody was on the skill scale. There is absolutely NO REASON that anybody should feel that they have to doctor video, or exaggerate anything to fit in here. Some of us can run big numbers one day, and not be able to hit the broad side of a barn the next day. That's life.

We're all here to learn. The caliber of players, and the experience represented on this forum is priceless. We need to remember that. This info and experience was not available with 2 clicks of a mouse 30 years ago. It is a privilege to participate here, not a right.

As a group, we need to police ourselves. Sometimes it isn't that easy. At the end of the day we need to maintain the integrity of this forum, and the integrity of the game. We are a tight group, and the only requirement to be here is to have a love of the game. As long as you don't disrespect that, you'll be ok.
 
14.1 subforum

This sub-forum had evolved nicely until recent developments. It was not that long ago that few videos were available of champions or of students of the game. Blackjack, Steve Lipsky, BluePepper and others tried to show us in diagrams what we should be looking for if we wanted to get better at the game. John Schmidt came here and offered to do seminars. Some of us took him up on it.

Marop and others started posted videos and we could all learn from them, talk about the patterns, ask questions about why someone did what. The rising tide of 14.1 knowledge lifted all ships and we all got a bit better, or at least we got to where we could see what we wanted to do or needed to do.
I have taken threads and videos from this forum and linked them to people in both of our 14.1 leagues and others I know who were interested and many appreciate the resource. One guy the other day said where was this stuff 20 years ago when I had to learn the hard way.

I guess someone got the idea that this was a contest to see who had the highest number and if they had the highest number they would be king. The high number is just a way to measure the quest for the perfect game of 14.1. It is something that encourages people to improve.

When you put up your vid, you want criticism to help you improve, no matter how much you wish you did not need the improvement. It is what it is. Accept and improve.

I am rambling but the direction the forum has gone, has me at a loss. I only hope this ship rights itself because there are more resources than ever today and even though I am pushing, 60, I still want to improve.
 
I honestly think the best think for Sascha to do now is just bow out gracefully. If you want to watch from the sidelines we obviously can't stop you but I think you now know that you no longer have a voice within this group.

Months ago Sascha apologized & promised never to do the kind of things that brought so much trouble down on him.
I & a few others stuck with him and wrote comments stating that people make mistakes and deserve another chance.
Well myself and the few others all have "egg on our faces". He has no respect for other people. It would take too long to explain who said what to who & when but everything that Steve has stated is 100% True.
I also saw the altered 83 ball run video. I observed position on the cue ball and object ball, which was the 11 ball. The 11 had its stripe running east & west. Also he was using a measle cue ball. The video then cuts off. When the video restarts. The 11 ball has its stripe running north & south and the red dots on the measle cue ball are in different position right before he shoots in the 11 ball.
He never stated on his 83 ball run thread that it was in two innings and he continued days later to answer good comments from people going along with his "great run." He then came up with another story after he was confronted. He also forgets who he tells what.
He has hurt this Forum in many ways. He had friendships all around this Country and would of been welcome if ever he visited. He has broken all those friendships by showing that he has no respect for anyone.
I also would like to request that his name be deleted from the AZ 14.1 high run list. Which he stated he had run 131 balls. I have been on AZ now for a year and a half and he has never posted a video over 100. I have also checked last year's stat list and he is in the top 11 with a stated run over 100 with no proof.
I have nothing else to say when it comes to him.

I hate hearing and seeing what this person has done to some good friends of mine especially on this forum. Although David said it best that we must police ourselves I find it so sad that this is what we have been brought to.

As I said in my original post I understand why he did it, i truly do. You get so overwhelmed with the idea of impressing the brotherhood within the 14.1 forum and gaining their respect and praise that it can drive you to do anything from time to time.

However it is no excuse for this to happen repeatedly. There are too many good people within this forum that stood by him only to be stabbed in the back.

After the first instance of this happening I decided out of sight out of mind as many others did as well and we simply ignored his posts but this is too much and I honestly think something needs to be done now.

I am pleased that those of you who put your faith back in this man have now seen him for what he is, a liar and a cheat. At the same time as being pleased however I am also saddened that this now outsider has darkened our door.

Sascha if you are out there reading this and I am sure you are I said it before and ill say it now.

I believe I speak for everyone here when I say

"You No Longer Have A Voice In This Forum And You Have Brought This Upon Yourself. The Best Thing For You To Do At This Point is to Simply Fade Away Into Obscurity.
 
I liken these video "incidents" (trying to be polite here) to those who attempt to shark their opponents, trying to compensate for their lack of cueing skills by engaging in scumbaggery. That's all I'll say.

I never paid any attention to his numerous posts after the first fiasco anyway, but this second video drama is freakin' hilarious.

Christ, I would love someone at my pool hall to do this...I would torture them for the rest of their lives about getting caught looking this stupid.

That whole forgiveness mentality is just overrated.
 
I'm tempted to make a video of my running 120 or so...

Just a video of me with the opening break, making one or two shots, then a big intermission screen with some music and the words "please wait while I run 119 more balls", with the video finally coming back to me missing a shot.

I know some wouldn't appreciate it, but I thought it would be funny given this thread.

moving a ball isn't exactly kicking a baby. you guys are making a huge deal out of this. this wasn't a 10k match or anything. he just made the video for the few of us that dig watching straight pool

You are right about that, but what is wrong is when he did it once before and several of us stood behind him regardless and called him a friend. Then he spits in our faces and lies to us again, that is what is wrong here.

I do not believe I have read any of your comments about 14.1 over a great deal of time here on the Forum. It is unbelievable that someone can butt into a serious problem and give very poor advice.
You state that you enjoy watching his videos after reading that his videos are all fixed. Sounds like, you condone this type of behavior and that is the type of person that you must be in Life. The ones that give pool a bad name and do everything they can to shark other players to win a buck. Win a buck or they don't eat or have a buck to get high.
If you want to learn how to play 14.1 You need to start watching the honest videos and read comments of the players on this Forum that put their heart & soul into it. It is not a easy thing to run numbers in straight pool and to have a liar come among good people just b/c his ego needs to be fed is dead wrong.

Your integrity is the backbone of your reputation. Compromising your integrity over anything will destroy any trust you had with those that supported you.

to every 14.1 lover here and especially my friends. i am really sorry and ashamed of that shit i have done on few videos, not all but that don´t matter. I don´t know what went through my head by doing this shit. I deleted all Videos i uploaded in my acount. I guess mike was right that i wanted this so bad or whatever. I know what i am capable of and i have run 100+ before, alone and against friends so it´s not a lie. Also, when i put 2 videos together it was not lied. I only can record 1 hour but this don´t matter also,so if i get a big run on tape that requires me to change cards i will keep that for myself but not upload it.

I wanted to leave this forum at first but i love 14.1 and i have friends here. I mean if you still consider me a friend. If you guys want me to leave here i will, if you want me to stay, i will. That is up to everyone here now. Not sure if i will post any more runs yet as you might always think i cheated somewhere. Of course that´s my own fault.

That's to bad:-(. He's a good player with a great stroke too. It's to bad about the doctored video. This will take credibility out of his future runs on tape. Hopefully he learned his lesson and everyone can move on to what makes this forum great.......I don't agree with what he did but it's not going to effect how I know he can play. It just shows how hard it is to make big runs in this game..People are willing to doctor there vids to get there:-)..
