I want you to stay, but not that bad.

Thank God.
This is already turning into "The Long Goodbye".....

( thinks Walt should take a final bow and then "23 skidoo" ) :) :) :)

*23 skidoo (sometimes 23 skiddoo) is an American slang phrase popularized in the early twentieth century, first appearing before World War I and becoming popular in the Roaring Twenties. It generally refers to leaving quickly. One nuance of the phrase suggests being rushed out by someone else. Another is taking advantage of a propitious opportunity to leave, that is, "getting [out] while the getting's good."

As you wish Smorg.I love you all.

Goodnight AZ, In the words of the terminator"I'll be black"..wait a minute:o

AU REVOIR!!!

3 weeks......tops.......would offer even money on that to the world, but Walt's already made it clear he's not averse to the concept of dumping, so will have to make do with a make believe bet:p

Have fun Walt, look forward to your return in October:)

Walt, you can be a pain at times & a great poster at others. This kind of thread smacks of attention seeking to me but if it's what you gotta do, go do it. Take some time out (although you haven't been here that long, not much more a newbie than me) have some fun, hit some balls.

If you're anything like me you'll be craving AZB in a day! Take care & I'm sure we'll all be ready to welcome you back when you're ready!

Just bring back some good stories with you! Take care & be good.

Walt WHO?

Lighten up man, everybody has a bad day now and then. You have never offended me with any of your posts. Come on back when you feel like it!
I honestly hope everything else goes well in your life.
PEACE, Purdman

Good gawd man...if your going,go already.

Geeze...you got ten dam posts after your pointless "Imagonna hafta leave (sniff)" post in this thread alone.

As someone mentioned...you don't really have to announce it either.

Man I never get mentioned in these kind of threads... I really have to start making a name for myself.

Maybe I'll start next week.

That's because you worship the mighty squirrel instead of Spider Pig.

I am taking a voluntary hiatus from AZ Billiards.Whether it's permanent or not I've yet to decide.I am certain however, that I have worn out my welcome here and I stick out like a sore thumb on this board of conservatives.

I guess by conservative, you mean that most of us post wih respect for each other and without deception, and most of us only begin threads when we've got something significant to say or share. You certainly don't qualify on any of these counts, not even by your own account of your forum experience, and that's why you stick out like a sore thumb on this board. I sure hope some more conservatives join the forum.

Wishing you good health, good times and good fortune, Walt, but I think you're right to walk away from AZB.

I agree. The more I read from, the less I see.

If I had a dollar....

for every good bye thread I have ever read I could buy the Celtic Prince.. If I had a dollar for every thread I ever read saying this is my last post.. and the poster comes back and writes another I could buy the golden Balabushka. :D
If I had a dollar for every internet bet that came as a result of an online dispute in a pool forum I could buy an 8 point Gus.. If I had the same dollar for those same bets that were actually paid or honored I could buy... a cube of Masters chalk.. maybe..

Forget all the dollars. You made me recall Frank Paradise. I wonder what his real name was. I can remember him pulling up at Johnston City in his sharp finned Mercedes. He was an elegant looking man, thin and very neat. He took great pride in his appearance and his cues. He spoke with a clear articulate voice. He was an educated man. I did not feel worthy to speak with him. I was a dumb kid who only wished he had a Paradise cue.

I can see him clearly now in my minds eye. He stood out by being dapper and immaculate. Clearly not another pool hustler. But a hustler of a different sort. A cue hustler, but a good one. Many top players took an interest in his wares. I wonder where all the Paradise cues are today. Gone I guess.

I guess I'm doing it wrong. I've quit posting on a couple forums but instead of announcing that I wasn't going to post anymore I just quit. I doubt that anybody misses me either.

In this particular case I'm glad this guy quit for one reason. I like Jay Helfert and I'm afraid and elderly gent like him might have a heart attack looking at that avatar of the young gal with her butt hanging out of her clothes.

Now for some free advice. When you do come back try not take this stuff so seriously. Like most free stuff that ain't worth much but there it is.

Yes, she does have an effect on me, but I wouldn't exactly call it a heart attack. :)

I love my little J Lo clone anyway. She is small and compact. But if I put her in an outfit like Esthers, you guys would go crazy. She's got all the right curves in the right places. More important, she is a sweetheart to me.
