Where is this calculator available? Thanks.A 21-6 race would favor Mike 58.6%.
A 21-7 race would favor Filler 55.5%.
Yikes those are HUGE spots.

True, but I'm sure having the top players giving up weight to equalize the match could be allot of fun.Sweet is long retired from pool. I'd rather watch two vets play each other any time. Watching players well passed their 'sell by' date get tortured by current talent is not something i'd pay to see.
Fascinating… giving up weight to someone that can really move can be more weight than expected.True, but I'm sure having the top players giving up weight to equalize the match could be allot of fun.
There are allot of Fargos around 700 that move as well as any 800 + Fargo.
They handicap horses.....why not Homo sapiens.... early humans that were living, they gathered and hunted food, and evolved behaviors that helped them respond to the challenges of survival in unstable environment
Sounds like the Rack in Detroit 1990's or Bordertown poolrooms.
I think that was when he beat Shane in a TAR race to 100 match on a 10’ snooker table poorly converted to a pool table. I was there in person and thought Earl was going to jump the table and attack the whole crowd. It was actually scary. Ha ha.was that the time earl used both ear plugs and ear muffs?
At fairmatch.fargorate.comWhere is this calculator available? Thanks.
Cohans 9 ball game ain't too shabby. Same goes for Frost.Fascinating… giving up weight to someone that can really move can be more weight than expected.
About 20 years ago I watched Al Romero (way past his prime) play Shane Van Boening… 9 ball. Shane not yet the player he has grown into but still a hell of a player . I think Shane was just learning to played one pocket at the time. I believe they were racing to Seven. Al was giving Shane fits with how he was moving. Shane played some lock up safes and Al was going three and four rails getting out and making a couple 3 rail shots. It was hill hill and Al was getting ready to break. Monica Webb was watching and I remember her shaking her head and saying Mosconi lives. Al broke, made a ball and forgot to put down his break cue with a phenolic tip. He then miscued on the fallowing shot and Shane ran out to win the match.Cohans 9 ball game ain't too shabby. Same goes for Frost.
Have one of these two get 7 on the wire to 21.
Hell yeah. Match-up the gals and the dudes. Call it the Chix-vs-Dix Tour.I've got an idea for a better matchup. Sigel versus the "other" Filler (Pia). No handicap. Race to 21.
Why not??? It's the 2024 version of the "battle of the sexes" (Billie Jean King vs Bobby Riggs, 1973)
SVB learned 1p pretty quik. With his firepower all it takes is a lil knowledge. Now he has a lot and is one of the top 1p out there.About 20 years ago I watched Al Romero (way past his prime) play Shane Van Boening. Definitely Shane learned VERY quickly. I know it was probably obv but I did edit my post to say they were playing 9 ball.SVB learned 1p pretty quik. With his firepower all it takes is a lil knowledge. Now he has a lot and is one of the top 1p out there.
Only problem Mike couldn't handle a beat down. He'd have to come back ''one more time''.I've got an idea for a better matchup. Sigel versus the "other" Filler (Pia). No handicap. Race to 21.

it takes about a month for a player to learn one hole and get it about as good as their main game.SVB learned 1p pretty quik. With his firepower all it takes is a lil knowledge. Now he has a lot and is one of the top 1p out there.

Felson: it’s just balls and a stick.

I would have given Earl even money against nearly anyone in his prime.Although now that I think of it, Strickland played Sigel about 10 years ago 6 or 7 different sets, across many game types. It was organized by Accustats. From memory, Strickland won all but one set. He killed Mike on most of the sets. Filler today is way way way stronger than Strickland was 10 years ago.
Bingo.... The time I played em in late 70's for almost 7 hrs straight, he NEVER missed a pocket by more than an inch EVER. I just made sure the shots that I gave him (we played 2 shot shoot out), the pocket was not able to accept that ball if you had to come around table for shape 4-5 rails or more, they always spit out. Beat em to the ball about 80% of the time, he was still learning this part of the game, but his pocketing...... I've NEVER seen a player ''swing it'' like Earl could, EVER.I would have given Earl even money against nearly anyone in his prime.

I’m with you. no point in it. The game has passed him by and honestly the play has leveled up quite a bit since he’s played. I’d rather watch him play Varner or earl.Sweet is long retired from pool.
