Favorite South West Wood Combinations???

...

this ivory sw is my dream cue..anyone know who owns it?
last i heard it was on the east coast but could have been brought to taiwan as they seem to be popular over there.

I have a ebony w/ivory point SW, I used it as my player for about 7 years at home, I wasnt in the pool scene like now, bit I still played and that cue was my player. Of all the SW's I have hit a ball with its the best hitting one I personally felt, I have played with around 100 of them, living in Vegas oppertuniyes come up to play with alot of SW's. I asked Laurie to make it with a soft hit, she rolled her eyes, and said with ebony and Ivory how can I possibly do that. to which I replied " I dunno, you guys are in the biz:wink:". And ya know what??? It is the sofest hitting SW, it still feels like a SW but with a bit more touch and feed back.


I have a pair comming a his/hers set of ebony/ebony with bright colored veneers, towards the end of this year or earily 11. They are gonna be sweet,

I've been looking for one of those ivory/ebony sw for a long time.
 
I cant ever sell that cue(sorry), i bought it 10 years ago, the condition of the deal with Lauri was that if I got a cue faster than the waiting list I had to promis not to sell it, so i must keep my word with her.

I still play with it from time to time-I really enjoy it. Sometimes when I get in a funk with my game i switch cues and this is one of the cues I switch to. I played with it alot when I was out of the pool scene and building my biz up, and bodybuilding, I played with it often for 7 years. Its a bit to flashy to take to a pool room IMO but at home I love it. The points are all perfect the same length on the high and low ones. The rings arnt lined up, I dont think they lined up the rings back then. I will take pics of it tomarrrow and have someone post them, I happen to have it out right now-its in my bedroom on the floor-I was taking some measurements off it.

his cue gives mine the 7, his dads SW gives mine the 5 and Brads the 7. His dads SW is with out a doubt the best looking SW I have ever seen. I have a few pics of it next to my Boar, they look great together-they are both ivory, snakewood, ebony. Brad and his parents were kind enough to come over for a nice visit and he brought his cue. Wow what a cue, I will look for those pics to be posted here. I hope they arnt in my laptop that got stolen.

Is that with SW made forearm? I think I've seen at least SW cue with Verl Horn forearm.

its SW I saw it in production, I saw it before the final cuts were made, I will ask to be 100% sure I;m 98% sure SW made it. I will find out this week sometime, who ever did it couldnt have made it more perfect. I will take pics of it tomarrow i'm to lazy right now.


I found the pics of Brad Simpsons dads cue, I will call Brad and get permission to post pics, first. I dont want to put pics of a cue up I dont own, I recall Brad saying it was cool but I want to be sure,

dakota has posted the best selling cues of all the sw except the 9 point if you want to sell for a profit
if you don,t want a big sale then they are all wonderful cues,ask laurie to help you choose

i will buy 1 if you want to turn a quick profit,$500 if i get the ebony chick one
