Fedex Overcharge

Don’t write off FedEx completely. I have only had success with FedEx and DHL for international shipping. All other carriers were consistently a headache and many months of delays. Especially UPS.

For intranational it is a bit different.
Where I am at UPS is much better than FedEx.
 
Was in IA last month refereeing for five days, ordered a meal, at the bottom it said $2 extra for green beans and $2 extra for a small side salad. When I got the bill those two items were $10 not $4.
I was given some song/dance comment about why so my tip was le$$....
I'll never go there again just for that reason.
1/3 of my working life I tended bar in the food/beverage industry, these daZe business, like Fed X roll quite differently.
 
when you chose the packaging did you choose the triangle box? These carriers charge more for these weird shaped boxes. UPS charges alot for round tubes
Yes it was a Fedex labled triangular tube, which I have used all the time. This is the first time I was hit with these extra charges

Why did the price change? You glanced over it, but it is by far the most important fact in the whole matter.
 
The problem with it is that FedEx can and will cancel your account if you do this.
You know the problem with trying to solve problems? You are usually not talking to people who can even help you. The credit card company will be in contact with the right person who can actually help.
Many people in the customer service departments job is to blow you off. That doesn't work with the credit card company.

If they messed up the weight by that much it will be resolved.

I have to add this. Over the years I have done a number credit card charge backs. Once a rental car company in Austria over charger me almost $1500.00. AMX got my money back.

Just recently I had a gun store damage a gun installing night sights.
I filed a claim and AMX took it off. I had it fixed right at another shop. Beretta even sent me new sights when I told them what happened.

I've got 3 credit cards, one I've used for 20 + yrs.
Every time I got in a bad situation, they got me out of it.
Good business and a good reason to stay with one company is.... from a business perspective you have Value to them.
