My friends,
Have you ever used tiger shaft? Does it play good? I want some advice before I buy one. does it play like 314? or mezz wd700? or z shaft? I enjoy the shaft a little bit soft. Also does G shaft play good? Thanks

Not realyy i found that you have to play top spin a lot .

Tiger X

My personal feedback on the shaft is that i dosent play like the a 314 or Z it dosent have the stiff hit the hit is softer overall a decent shaft i personally like it better than predator i dont like the skinny shafts!! thats just me you might want more feedback than this im also and beginner!!!

Well,
The Tiger XUltra shaft is one of the more solid LD shafts I've played so far.
I do sell Mezz as well and to me the Mezz Hybrid is on the top of the food chain and then the Tiger XUltra shaft. Super solid feel on both shafts but more LD on the Mezz.

have u ever tried mezz wd700 shaft? what's the difference with hybird or tiger x shaft? it's to a little bit hard for me. For posion shaft, the hardness is more suitable. I never tried hybird, so no idea on that. also i didn't like skinny shaft.

I have both the WD700 and HP2 shafts, to me the HP2 has a slight duller hit than the WD700. But the HP2 can give you more spin. Both shafts are have more feedback than allot of other low deflection shafts.

Try a WD700, you cannot go wrong...

best of luck to you...

hey, dude, i wanna buy mezz zz09 this time, what a coincidence. it shows that the original shaft is wd700. but i have bad experience on wd700 shaft. last time i bougth a mezz aya-t cue. it also has a wd700 shaft. the shaft is a little hard for me, that' why i want to change wd700 to tiger x shaft. i think your zz09 is much better on the feedback.

I've played with OB, predator and Tiger. Of the three the IMO the Tiger has the best feel. One thing I noticed about the tiger that I didn't get with the other two is that I can make incredible cut shots with it. Places where you can't believe the ball will even go. If I were to buy a new shaft it would be a Tiger.

I play with the Tiger X shaft with a soft moori tip here in Afghanistan and I love it.

I have a 1x2 case with me over here. In the case is a piece of crap butt section, a predator z shaft and the tiger shaft. I haven't touched the z shaft in at least 4 months.

Thats because it deflects like crazy. I wouldnt even call the Tiger shafts LD, cuz they really arent. They do have a nice feel to them but so does a solid maple shaft. None of my regular maple shafts deflect nearly as much as the Tiger's that I have hit balls with. I dont know why that is but I didnt really like it. I was hitting the cue ball from the foot spot to the opposite corner pocket with a medium hard stroke with maximum side english and aiming for the center of the pocket but was missing the pocket by about an inch or so on either side. Not really sure how you can call that a LD shaft. I know a lot of people really do love those shafts and thats great. I was really excited to try one after hearing so much positive feedback on them but it just is not the shaft for me.

I would say the OB-1 would probably be the softest hitting LD shaft I have tried. You can also get some serious juice on the ball with the OB shafts. It was a little too much for me actually. I kept finding myself under hitting the ball because I was afraid of how much spin I was going to get. On the other hand I found it to be extremely accurate for shots that you have to jack up on which can really come in handy and add confidence to your game. Also those little touch shots where you need to draw the ball back about 3 or 4 inches were exceptionally easy to pull off once you knew what the shaft was capable of. I can see myself giving this shaft another go in the future, I just didnt feel like making the switch at the time.

Never tried a mezz shaft but I would love to get my hands on one. I really wish they sold partials, I would probably have one by now.

I think the best advice you can get when looking for a new shaft or any new equipment really is to try it out before you buy it. You can read all the reviews in the world and it can never compare to hitting a ball with it yourself. I have been really hyped up about certain products and was 99% sure I was going to make a purchase, then I would run into somebody that already had it and gave it a try only to be severely let down. Pool players are a finicky bunch. I know I am fairly neurotic about the equipment that I play with and I will never buy anything in the future without giving it a test run first.

Good luck.

I have played the tiger ultra x, pred 314,314-2,z-2 and ob-1 and have to say the tiger had the hit of the ob, the deflection of a normal maple shaft, and better feel than the predators. With that I must say that I play well with the tiger on the bar box, but going to the 9 ft, the ability to spin the ball and use inside english while pocketing balls requires good aim and stroke. The feel of the tiger is #1, fit finish and price #1, and deflection #3. It does come with the best tip in the world though........The Tiger Sniper!!! Hope this helps you in your decision.

The Tiger Ultra X is my new favorite of all the aftermarket shafts. Plays a little stiffer and much more solid than a 314^2 or OB-1. Feels like a cross between a great custom shaft and an LD shaft.

That's exactly how I describe them...a nice balance between the two for those that don't want to go all the way with LD (read: softer hit with OB-1 being the softest of all).

I've played with a ton of low deflection shafts,my opinion is the tiger shafts are very good but I still think the 1st generation predator shafts is the best low deflection shaft ever made.

This is the same way I feel about the Tiger Ultra X shaft as well, I think it is in between a Predator 314-2 and a standard maple shaft.

funny you say that. The shaft I replaced with the Tiger was a Dominiak HG shaft. I thought the feel was similar but the play was better.

i like the tiger ultra x alot. it is the best LD shaft on the market IMO. i like 13mm not 12.75mm tho. the predator fat shat also plays great
