The thought is greatly appreciated. I don't speak Spanish, but I know three Spanish phrases I often encounter here in New York City.

1) toque aquí para hablar español - after swiping my card at the ATM, this is always one of the menu selections

2) no se incline contra la puerta - this is often found written on the doors of the subway trains

3) feliz navidad - seen all over New York City this time of year.

So I'll say feliz navidad to you, knowing fully what it means.

I used to play 8 ball and 9 Ball, but have not played competitively basically for the last 3 years.

Most popular games in PR are last pocket 8 ball and 9 ball. We also play what we call BCA 8 Ball, which is basically World Standarized Rules.

Federacion Puertorriquena de Billar is the Spanish name of the Puerto Rican Billiard Federation.

Seem to recall that Alan Rolon is from Puerto Rico. Met him at the Big Apple 9-Ball challenge a few years back. Nice guy and a fine player. If you know him, please send him best wishes for a happy holiday.

Merry Christmas. I was in PR in Nov. around Thanksgiving. I believe there was a Tournament Fri. 11/26 in Aguada I wanted to play in, but it was cancelled. Next time. Any places to play in San Sebastian?

Aguada is the nearest place to San Sebastian with 9 ft tables. All other places in the area have bar tables.

We cancelled the tournament that weekend to provide the players extra time with their families for the Thanksgiving period. Sorry for that.
