BLACKHEARTCUES said:I don't understand your question. There is no metal in a ferrule. Where would the metal be in the ferrule that you describe...JER

Are you asking about two materials or three? Also, what is the purpose for such a ferrule? What made you ask the question?conetip said:If a ferrule is made of a combination of plastic/ivorine and metal, with the metal part being less than 1 inch long, Can the ferrule still be a total of 1.25 inches long?

Whatever ferrule you are using does answer your question...BarenbruggeCues said:You have to be more specifc on the question your asking.
But to answer the question you have already asked.................
YES
I see no problem building a ferrule with less than one inch of metal...adding plastic/ivorine.....and keeping it a total of 1.25 inches long.
The real question is..........."How will it hit?"
<~~~ wondering why ferrules are still an inch long and longer?.........
I have made a ferrule out of something a Cuemaker gave me. I have put an Aluminum front end on it. The plastic part, had the 5/16 tennon in it already,as the original cue had a 5/16 ferrule.Cuedog said:Are you asking about two materials or three? Also, what is the purpose for such a ferrule?
