Looking for a similar material to Linen Based Melamine (LBM) that Atlas used to carry. Apparently they aren't carrying it now! Any suggestions on a replacement?
I normally offer Fibre, LBM, Ivor-X and Ivory ferrules and use LBM as my standard ferrule on the cues that I build. So, I'm looking for a suitable step up from Fibre.

I am using Saber-T and it has worked out ok for me. It is not as strong as the Melamine but at least it stays clean and machines and glues well.

I recently got a sample of the LBM from Prather and it was very nice. Yesterday I tried to order 10 feet but Jennifer said they were out (there has been a recent run on their stock) and it would take 5 to 6 weeks for their supply to be replinished.

They do not charge extra for credit cards or PayPal.

OT but am sick of the quality of threaded ferrules of late.
So, I'm drilling boring and thread milling mine after the last batch is gone.
Am getting the rods from Mason.
 
I've never bought pre-threaded ferrules. Buy the rods, cut to length, drill and tap my own. I'll look into Saber T! How's the price compared to LBM?

What? They don't accept Credit Cards either? They're more expensive to use than PayPal for a seller.

Not sure about paypal but Prathers has accepted my CC for at least a few years now.

Mine also. That's why I posted the question.

PayPal works great both for the buyer and seller - until there is a problem. It is very convenient to use as no checks or postage or post office for money orders. It is much more quicker than checks/money orders which helps both buyer and seller as one gets the item quicker and the other has his money quicker and inventory not tied up as long. Drawback for seller is cost ( same as or a little less than CC ), and can have the sale voided over a problem be it real or just on the buyers larceny. I use PayPal Daley for many purchases on the Internet as it is much safer than giving a credit card num. to someone I don't know. I can see where PayPal fees would be an extra expense on larger ticket items but on low cost transactions it is a great convenience and I don't deal with many on the Internet who don't use it or charge a fee.
