You want soft but are concerned with reasonance?socks said:i did read on here that titan is a pretty soft material. what about ABS? what kind of resonence properties does it have? i knowmr varney experimented with coring cues with this to try and quit them down. also, would you recomend going capped or uncapped on the ferrule?

ABS is very soft too and does not make much sound either.
Uncapped will have a harder hit.

Jeff said:So what does Micarta have going for it. Is it the hardness, the rarity, easy to work with?
Varney Cues said:A very soft but yet extremely lively hit. No "tink"....![]()
socks said:...the old micarta was good for these properties, but since its alittle hard to come by, and expensive at that, i think i'm gonna try out a capped ABS with a sniper tip.
