Fields "Saddle Case"

Latest case off the bench, I wanted to do something to pay homage to the leather workers and saddlers who paved the way for modern leather craft and style.
Its a 2x4 with a custom dye job to give it an old worn saddle look, 16" pocket, strap and pad, and a LOT of saddle style stamping.

Thanks for looking!
Chuck

Personally this is your best case to date. It's tough to find a balance between rugged and elegance but I think you found it on this case with the colouring and your clean work.

To add, in your second picture is that a natural scar from the hide right beside your stamped logo? I like that character in a case like this.

Fantastic

That case really looks good. That color is perfect, it reminds me of a saddle we have sitting on a saw horse in the basement. Sadly the horse that it went on passed away several years ago. But, good leatherwork will stand the test of time and be passed down to another generation.

STUNNING!! As always from Chuck!

Agree

I have to agree with Jive that may be your best case to date. Really unique, smart, classy and everything else good you can say about a cue case. You are really thinking outside of the box and it is working out very well.

Thank you Jive!

Yes it is. Probably a barb wire scrape. I personally love for the leather to have its own character. Its like wood grain. When you have a super clean piece of leather and dye it, especially a dark color it is almost indistinguishable from vinyl appearance wise. If it has range marks etc it gives more visual interest.

Gorgeous case
Thanks!

Really outstanding! This case makes statement.
Thanks Phil!

Nice Case:thumbup:
What's the price tag?

Thank you! As time goes on Im incorporating more of my own style, and for me the custom saddle makers are the roots of modern leather style, and what I like looking at the most. From the Mexican vaqueros who decorated their saddles, and the south western styles that emerged in this country, it continued all over different geographic regions.

Great looking case, nice work Chuck.
Thanks Al!
