These guys have the potential to be two great rivals for years.

Just like;

Bird and Magic
Chamberlain and Russell
Cardinals and the Cubbies

I really thought that John Schmidt and Danny Harriman could have been great too, but they missed that opportunity.

This would make for great TV.

I've never seen Jesse Bowman play, but I've heard good stuff about his game. Sky is a star in the making. Should be exciting.

Sounds interesting. I may have to catch this one.

On a different note: you know pool arguments and speculation have gotten bad, when a promoter finds it necessary to list table size, who racks, type of rack, cloth and ball brands.

Not really. It's simply the details that were agreed upon when setting up the match.

When these matches or even tournaments don't happen it's often the promoter(s) who changes things making it undesirable for the players. The promoter usually will not take responsibilty and will blame the players. We have seen this time and time again. It's a formula for matches not happening.

These guys want to play and will play unless someone involved changes "the game". All forseable details have been confirmed with all parties in this match. This can only happen with experience in promoting these matches. New promoters and green promoters, good and bad ones, WILL make mistakes. The thing to notice is who takes responsibility when it happens.

Thanks for explaining, BigTruck. Honestly, I wasn't even thinking about the players's agreements. I was thinking more a long the AZ lines of "well, why was it this way," and " x would have won if it was this way."

Thanks Big truck I will watch tis if I'm free. I played skylar kid has a lot of heart and loves to play for money, he'll gamble with about anyone loves it. Thanks again.

I'll be checking it out. Glad to FINALLY see someone use a neutral racker
in a challenge match! It's unreal to me that so many big matches go down
without this, and there's always that mini-controversy afterwards.

People argue it's impractical for a big event like the US Open,
but for 1v1, it's an absolute no-brainer. Especially in 9b.
I'll enjoy seeing some old fashioned 9 ball.

Any funky twists to the rules? Jump cues? Passback after miss?
Call-9? No golden breaks?

The minute particulars will be announced at the beginning of the match.

The primary reason that a "neutral" racker has never been used is.....budget. It's a 16 hr gig that can possibly require racking 199 racks of 9 ball! :shocked2:
