Next thing to do for Matchroom is to "have withdrawn" from the Reyes Cup mister Efren Reyes himself"Regretfully".
In all honesty this inaugural event is all about Efren. The idea of Boyes being the coach for Europe is an insult to the opposing captain IMO.
How cool would it have been to see Efren captain both teams?
To see him select his own match ups!
Watching him trying to out wit himself?

Get informed before you make bold statement. There is a Podcast where Predator's CEO talked about scheduling conflicts.

Aa for bold statements, earlier in the thread you referred to the people at MR as "clowns.’ Seems like a rather emotional statement than an informed one.
to be a competition both sides need their own captain. to do otherwise would make it even more of nothing but an exhibition.
for some reason the guy has a total hard-on for MR. That's clearly his right but i have no clue why. They have pulled pro pool from the ashes. No outfit is going to be perfect. Keeps harping about scheduling but why should they cede choice tour stops/dates to a competing tour? If it can be done and them not lose money/viewer shares they probably would consider it but they are a for-profit co. and $ rules.

The writing could be right on the wall in front of you and you would still spin it in the opposite direction. Get a clue.
Of course you aren’t going to get that in that interview. You can’t expect that. EF gave a lengthy off the cuff interview which most would not give in that context. IMO the nugget that EF gave was that they had a tour and players to protect. That’s where they’re coming from. And were I a player who stood against the WPA/ Asian Federation ban and skipped a big event, I would very much appreciate what MR did and what EF said.

Even though Emily did not share many details on this debacle. I like how she framed it “ it would not be fair to Joshua to comment without him there”
Could be a way of dodging the question, but I believe that she is sincere when she says she loves Josh and hopes the best for him.
I hate to see the spot Josh was put in, maybe partly due to decisions that he made. It’s possible that he made his statement to stand with the Asian players, and the the sponsor Predator came in and told him he has to play to keep his sponsorship. That would put him in a tough place. I do not like this situation as I am sure no one else does. I truly believe Josh had everyone’s best interests at heart, but got bullied into decisions he did not want to make.
No use arguing with groupies. They believe because Matchroom has done good for the sport, which nobody contest, MR can behave like a monopoly and try to overrun everyone. Well it doesn't work that way unless you are truly a monster monopoly. Matchroom is seeing the negative effects in Hanoi, which of course they would argue is not a problem.

Generalized sympathy expressed for players sitting out Hanoi, but "the show must go on."
Focus is building up the tour so great players can eventually become millionaires. She used darts as an example.
In short, no reason to expect the dispute with the WPA and/or Predator to end anytime soon. MR plans to try to steamroll its opponents is the vibe I got.

They are aggressive, you have to give them that. However, it's a dog eat dog world and they are not the monster dog. It truly sucks, but WPA hurt them bad in Hanoi.
